I ordered one but looking at the reviews only lasts 2 minutes and it cuts out due to overheating

Me too. Did all mine yesterday. I found that doing a max of 2 sheets at a time was best for it. It will also stop every so often, if it gets too warm. It takes around 10 mins to come on again.

Works well though.

I guess it is time to move to cross-cut. My old strip-cut was probably a security risk, to be honest.

Picked up one of these last year when my pain-in-the-backside cheapo forever jamming Texet shredder blew up (for the final time), this one does a good job so I'm hoping it lasts!
