we also got this slowcooker, with the emphasis on SLOW. We had it on for 2hrs and it was only just getting the food warm.
It takes around 7-8 hours to cook a meal. Our old one had the food hot in around 45 mins. I know its supposed to be slow but this was the HOT setting.

I got mine from Tesco for this price from a deal posted on here about 2 years ago. Yes, the Crockpots ARE very slow but they are good. I do miss my big 6ltr cheapo that I got from Poundstretcher though.... faster and made fab cakes!

No idea what you were doing but you clearly didn't use it properly. I've cooked food in this in about 3-4 hours on HOT setting. On SLOW it takes double the time.
