I know you have to be a member but sugar is 36 pence a bag. I only go there a few times each year but the savings are worth it.

Your receipt says the sugar was £5 not 36p. Nothing for 36p on your receipt

Yes, but you have to buy in multiples of 15! I think the deal should be amended to state that and the overall cost...

I always buy my sugar from Costco too - but, tbf the OVERALL price is meant to be stated in the title & OP because as already said, you can't walk into Costco, pick up a bag of sugar, hand over 36p and leave. You should really adjust the title etc..to reflect this

The CHEAP supermarkets are also selling around that price for all the poor people who cant afford to shop at Costco.

Only of interest to cafes and moonshiners.
You don't need refined sugar at all - it's in everything else.

Anyone can join Costco . They just make it sound like you can't to make people feel special, like you have joined a secret club

So you have to go through all that faf to get a card and travel to out of town store to save 2.66 pence per bag on what you can buy on the high street eg Farmfoods. And Farmfoods is Tate&Lyle sugar.

IF the only thing you wanyted was sugar then yes that would be the case. But Costco do sell more than just sugar so you might pick up another bargain or two there too. Their washing powder and dishwasher tablets are often on offer there and work out considerably cheaper than buying from the supermarket. Oh, and Lagavulin Whisky was about £38 a bottle which is the cheapest I found it at the time if washing podwer and dishwasher tablets aren't your thing! :-)
