Normally 1,000 nectar points could be redeemed/swapped for many things but the exchange rate is normally:
1,000 points for £5.00
500 points for £2.50
It is this same exchange rate at Sainsburys, Argos, eBay, etc...

They are now saying you could do the usual thing and swap your 1,000 nectar points for a £5 ebay voucher which you would receive immediately.

The 1,000 nectar points are deducted from your Nectar account balance immediately, but if you qualified in some way for this promotion then a few days/weeks later 500 nectar points would be added back.

In effect your overall Nectar balance has been reduced by only 500 points and you have your £5.00 ebay voucher ie "500 Nectar Points to £5.00 eBay voucher" instead of the usual "1,000 Nectar Points to £5.00 rate".

In monetary terms you've managed to get an extra £2.50 out of your Nectar balance!

This promotion is also "one £5 voucher for 1,000 nectar points" and not "a £5 voucher for every 1,000 nectar points"! So don't go off cashing in all your nectar points!

Customer specific, I have convert 1000 into ebay and get 250 nectar points.

I did this a few months ago and have been offered it again. If I do it again and end up with two vouchers, can they both be spent on the same basket, or is it one per purchase?

I didn't say it wasn't? I just confirmed the OP was correct, it is customer specific and the offer may be different. Although I think doubling my nectar points in the Sainsbury double up events is better value for me.

best one i had was transferring £170 of nectar points to an ebay vouceher they managed to dissapear between nectar and ebay after reporting this to ebay/nectar i got £340 voucher instead :smiley:

I don't think the link http://pages.ebay.co.uk/nectar-rewards/Redemptions500.html would actually work because if you open up a new incognito tab without signing in to eBay and paste that link in to the address bar it still says:

"You have activated this offer - Convert 1000 Nectar points or more to eBay voucher(s) and receive 500 points back."

This is before signing in! So I don't think it actually does activate this offer even if you are signed in.

Better not waste your Nectar balance and instead wait for another ebay/nectar offer or the usual Sainsburys nectar double-up promotions.

I convert 1000points before Christmas when the same offer was on, not sure if eligible for this. Plus I have not received 500points back yet.

I just checked my transactions for the last offer like this and never got the 500 points.

Didn't work for me last time, so not going to bother again unless I get the email offer

Done this yesterday, converted 1000 points to only find min purchase was £10 so will have to convert another 1000 points to get to spend the vouchers.

I wish they would do another half points back promotion. I have nearly £100's worth of points but i refuse to use them at face value. I will either save them up for the next Sainsbury's double up thing or until Ebay do another half points back deal with a high redemption limit.

Once you have converted them, where do the vouchers appear anyone please? Do they get emailed to you.

T&C state 'Bonus points will be awarded within 28 days of the end date'.

I understand that to be 28 days after 24th January 2017 then.

Might make sense to expire this now in case some idiot ignores the date in the post and converts all their points.
