I think the fact that it's organic and raw denotes that it hasn't been bleached, subjected to harsh chemical processing, extreme levels of heat or deodorised... amongst other things. But if you're happy with the refined version go for it; horses for courses.

Can you taste this difference?
Are you claiming that KTC's product is blended with "inferior" oils?
There are certainly product ranges where I would admit that KTC isn't the best quality option but this isn't one of them.
I spend a lot of time in the tropics and have yet to see coconut that aren't organic - so that's just a marketing line to fool the credulous.

KTC Coconut Oil is £2.25 for 500ml in Tesco's so I don't see why this is a deal.
It's ideal for stir frying because it will take a lot of heat before it starts smoking.

Beware the medicinal claims.
There is a special name for alternative medicines that have been proven to work. We call them "Medicine" - and you don't find them in the food isle.
By definition, "alternative" medicines have either not been proven to work or have been proven not to work.

This is a great price for virgin coconut oil, you can brush your teeth with it! I use for hair and skin. My baby had cradle cap and used on her, she smelt lovely and it cleared it up great, a lot of people still use olive oil on skin and hair but it's much greasier and doesn't smell great

I wouldn't compare it to tesco oil, but on Amazon or else you can find almost always 1 litre of coconut oil for £10 which works out the same [mind its in 'ml' not 'kg']

Thankyou, I for one, really appreciate this deal. My dog has a teaspoon a day of unrefined, raw and compressed coconut oil. It has many many health benefits for him, as well as humans, coconut oil combats a lot of issues with dogs so I am a regular buyer of this stuff.....

​I had terrible feet after numerous operations (toxins from general anaesthetic & not having the will to bother with my feet. just bed rest). I was reading up on coconut oil as effective relief for dry skin on my feet. Interestingly enough it also mentioned relief for fungal nail infections.

So I tried it & my dry skin started peeling away from my feet & the coconut oil penetrated deep into my toe nails. I had read the nails would turn black so I covered them up until they were clear again & good as new.

Also great for eczema, psoriasis & general skin care like fighting off wrinkles & premature ageing.

Also I used Vicks vapor rub previously for fungal nail infections it worked well until I stopped when tub finished.

But coconut oil imho worked best & was kinder on my skin.

Have you ever seen the state of split coconuts laid out in the sun prior to milling and oil extraction?

I'm assuming that you have tried this then for a fungal nail infection? My big toenail has had an infection for some time. Can you tell me how you actually used the oil to treat the nail(s) - did you have to try to place the oil underneath the nail (protruding part that you cut) and how long did it take to get rid of the infection?
