30 Aug 16#217
TCB should be firmer with the merchants they allow on their cashback site , 12 weeks to payable and when they do not pay on time or when they have accumulated 10 late payments they should be given a warning. From this point on the next time they accumulate 10 late payments (over 12 week to payable) then they are out. Seems fair to me

28 Aug 161#210
Mine too, contacted them on Friday, was told to just wait but now confirmed, never know, this might reach payable by Christmas
From TCB help pages (as a guide)
"After a certain number of days, your transaction will normally switch to ‘Confirmed’ status. This means that the merchant has pretty much agreed that all is fine with your transaction and your cashback will be forthcoming at some point. At this point, the merchant may not yet have been invoiced by their affiliate network (so your cashback will certainly not have yet reached us).
At a later date still (sometimes as much as 90 days later), the affiliate network will have invoiced the merchant and should have received your cashback. At this point your transaction will switch to ‘Payable’ status. Once your transaction has switched to Payable status, you can claim your cashback at any time. In other words, you can ask us to send your cashback to you at any time after your transaction has become Payable"

TCB still not allowing you to submit a support ticket DESPITE the requested time of 4 weeks longer than the estimated payable date passing (several days ago !)
My guess is TCB are overwhelmed by the amount of people complaining / enquiring as to when this will payout and have setup a way to stop you contacting them regarding the payment !
I seriously don't know who is worse now The Co-Op or TCB ?? !!
This is the message that appears now :-
Submit Support Ticket
We’re sorry to hear your transaction is not yet payable.
Every transaction has an 'Estimated Payable Speed' which you can see on your Earnings page. We need you to allow 4 weeks past your Estimated Payable Speed, before contacting us with regards to your The Co-operative Bank - Current Accounts cashback.
The Estimated Payable Speed is a guide time for cashback to reach 'payable', based on previous payments from the merchant. This should hopefully allow enough time for your cashback to be made 'payable' in your Earnings.
Please make sure that you do contact us if your transaction has not progressed to payable after this time has passed and then we should hopefully have an update for you.
...... So TCB the time has passed and we try and contact you and the above message keeps showing , are you taking the pi55 ?

Well my 29 weeks is up next week but still hasn't progressed beyond 'pending' - not holding out much hope but will leave the account running until end of year and if nothing by then just cut my losses (which in fairness is £0). I chased TCB this week. Response below.
Sorry for the wait- I've spoken to the affiliate network who run the co-op cashback programme and they are currently in the process of validating. They leave quite a long time before starting this in order to see that the accounts are valid, and the administration process takes some time (unfortunately!).
We should see them confirmed within the next couple of months, and payment will follow not long after that,
I'm sorry that these take so long- its simply that there are a lot of processes on the Merchant's side which we can't control. I will keep chasing them up for payment though and all valid transactions should be paid.

TopCashback response: Hi Rich,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Merchants do come and go from site, and in the case of the Co-op we don't currently have any offers as you say. It may be that they return soon with further offers. Please don't be concerned about your cashback though, as this was made when the programme was live.
Estimated payment speeds can also change as we get more statistics/information about when the transaction is likely to be paid. In this case, we believe that the transaction should be validated within 12 weeks and it will then be paid within a month or two of this. We basically just want to get the estimate as accurate as possible for you, although it remains a rough guess as the merchant doesn't have a set payment date.
I can assure you that if a transaction isn't paid within a reasonable time frame, we will of course chase this for you.
Best wishes,
John

Credit ratings drop when you have access to more funds.
When doing these current account cashback/interest things, never apply for the overdraft that sometimes comes attached and get rid of any available debt.
For each debit and especially credit card you have, all this available potential debt is totaled up and offset against any potential loan that is available.
rooney10
11 Jan 16#139
You should be fine , I got the same letter with a debit card in another envelope , both arrived same day.

depends whether your letter requested you provide ID docs in branch or by post , if it did then I expect you wont receive a card until these docs are provided. That seems to be my experience anyway.
Double check your letter though as letters have gone out saying accepted in principle but WITHOUT the info on providing ID docs via branch / store and these seem to be the accepted ones , accompanied by debit cards in a separate envelope, eligible for cashback.
rooney10
11 Jan 16#135
Are you sure it was the same letter , we have done 3 of these between us now and 3 different outcomes !
1st - letter stating approved in principle subject to further ID checks and advises to provide ID docs in branch or by post
2nd - similar letter to above but crucially WITHOUT the added info of providing ID docs in branch / post. This came at the same time as a separate letter accompanying debit card ....... this one looks eligible for the cashback !
3rd - application submitted on the morning of 5th (around 8am before terms/cashback changed) , tracked in TCB and had email from TCB saying it will be honoured at higher rate but heard nothing from Co-Op regarding my application..... very strange - I bet if I were to chase it will cancel out the cashback as not completed wholly online , SNEAKY !
My experience with this is Hit and Miss then over the 3 applications. BTW , never been refused a bank account before in any for any of the applicants above.
We better do, i just went down from excellent to good on my credit rating so i hope it's all worth it. I would like to know if anyone else got their rating affected?

Hi there,
That's correct- you'll get the £157.50 rate.
The terms and conditions have recently been updated. At the time of your purchase, the offers stated that the account had to be opened and £800 deposited. It has since been clarified that this term is £800 per month for 3 months and a certain number of direct debits. As this wasn't clear at the time of your purchase, we have confirmed with the co-op bank that as long as you deposit at least £800 and keep the account active, you will get cashback.
I hope that this helps explain things but let me know if you have any questions.

If they require a switch the process is automated and your old account will be closed down. If it's a "transfer", implying perhaps a switch is not necessary, then I imagine you just open the new Co-op account and arrange for your salary to be paid into it so that it becomes your "main" account. Out of interest, has anybody raised the concern with TCB? and asked for clarification?
ziggycj
5 Jan 16#90
No, I mean will they completely shut the other account, or can I just change where my pay goes into. "Main" doesn't imply closing the other one.
Stevew192
5 Jan 16#89
I follow your logic and agree with it largely. What I don't understand is that previous deals with Co-op refer to "switching" and the common industry terminology is to "switch" using the current account switch process. In this instance there is no mention of the word switch. They talk about transferring to this account which seems a softer instruction. Why would they make that distinction??
ziggycj
5 Jan 16#84
When it says "transfer to it as their main account" does this mean I'd have to close my other account?
Reebok Ron to ziggycj
5 Jan 16#88
Well you can't "transfer" if you've got no other bank account to transfer from. The logical conclusion would therefore be that you have to switch from your current "main" bank account to this new co-op account. And "main" means that it's the bank acount your salary etc. is paid into. If you don't do this it would be an easy way for TCB to decline your cahback IMO.

My experience is the opposite, had 4 or 5 claims with TCB paid by them, including some large ones, £130+ from vodafone and £80 phones4u when they went bust.
I've currently got a casino.com claim outstanding with quidco that was done back in around April last year, that was disputed in June. Every time I contact support they copy and paste some crap about how they are chasing it up every week and it should be resolved within 14 days, the first time they told me this was in October.
Got a Sky transaction that was due to be payable 7th November, which then changed to 'this retailer is taking longer than expected' then changed to 20th November, then longer than usual, then 7th December, then longer than usual. Quidco's support response was that it was on time and the expected date was April. Which has now changed to the 27th January. Live chat said 'Sky usually take 7 months to confirm cashback from the date you made the purchase', when I pointed out at the time, the sky page said payment expected by the 10th April for orders made that day, which was shorter than my estimated payment date for a transaction made in July, 4 months previously, and April is 9 months after July, they stopped replying.

This is the correct link below. Can't see anything about needing to switch accounts although it does say cash back will only be paid if you qualify under the merchants terms and conditions. However it doesn't actually tell you what's these terms and conditions are, apart from what's already listed on the topcashback page, so it is pretty vague as to what the requirements are exactly.
Worth a go, but it's worth remembering co-op often run a £100 bonus switching scheme without the need for topcashback etc so if you sign up now and have your cash back declined for whatever reason you won't be eligible for that as you will be an existing customer.

Closed the account a few months ago as I didn't think it would ever come.
£303 paid out , happy now
- Checking TCB twice or thrice everyday*.
- Then conveying the pain on HUKD
- All that cursing and swearing at TCB, Coop & HUKD (always blame HUKD as my current debt state is due to the great deals they have.. And all that stuff I dont want, but still buy and then all that ending up in the loft)
*sometimes more during the weekend
Thankfully I've got more faith in the BACS system than I do TCB/COOP as their timescales are so unreliable it might have been another 3 months!!
You should see that this has now moved to 'confirmed', which means that we are due to receive payment for this within the next 4-6 weeks."
Anyway, glad we seem to be getting somewhere.
Stay focused Rooney10. Remember your "goal" is to get paid. :stuck_out_tongue:
In fairness, it looked liked the co-op messed up the terms in the first place, was always going to be lucky if they paid out but was worth the punt. There isn't much point in worrying too much about it
Sorry for the wait- I've spoken to the affiliate network who run the co-op cashback programme and they are currently in the process of validating.
Paying in over £800 a month and four direct debits and I have not had a payment.
I will chase it when I get round to it.
We are never really going to get this cashback. Isn't it?
Not my words, it came from a support staff at TCB.
Hi Rich,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Best wishes,
John
I'll keep 800 bouncing in and out for a bit longer and just see what happens, might not be worth keeping the ole hopes up
Mine is surely getting rejected as I was sent a letter.
http://www.co-operativebank.co.uk/currentaccounts/everyday-rewards
We are not sure if you applied for this account or it was someone else, so come in branch with proof of ID and confirm some details. :disappointed:
Since then I have only received an initial letter from co-op and nothing else no debit card etc...
Should I be worried?
Also when I do eventually receive the account details do I only need to transfer in £800 and that's it, I don't need to do any type of switching etc.. Do I?
Thanks
Will do the same deposit for the next couple of months and will update on here with any topcashback status updates.

When doing these current account cashback/interest things, never apply for the overdraft that sometimes comes attached and get rid of any available debt.
For each debit and especially credit card you have, all this available potential debt is totaled up and offset against any potential loan that is available.
I wouldn't worry though , it appears that you are one of the lucky ones  ... lets just hope TCB pays out on these that appear to be eligible.
Double check your letter though as letters have gone out saying accepted in principle but WITHOUT the info on providing ID docs via branch / store and these seem to be the accepted ones , accompanied by debit cards in a separate envelope, eligible for cashback.
Or completely free https://www.noddle.co.uk
I do apologize that you are still waiting for a response from this claim and we will continue to chase this for you. At the moment we are still experiencing difficulties with Casino.com, and because of this we have removed them from our site. If they refuse to uphold their agreement to us and our members we will be taking further legal action with them.

That's what happens when you let the loony left loose with your money!
Hmm, OLA.... same as Santander, have they taken over coop?!
If you comply with t&c and they fail to pay up I suggest you treaten to complain to Banking Ombudsman. Reckon they'd settle by paying you rather than pay the higher ombudsman win-or-lose fee

Worth a go, but it's worth remembering co-op often run a £100 bonus switching scheme without the need for topcashback etc so if you sign up now and have your cash back declined for whatever reason you won't be eligible for that as you will be an existing customer.
"Full Terms and Conditions for this Offer are shown here: Offer Terms"
Which links to the old one where it states a switch is required.

• Cashback will only be paid out for new applications that are ‘accepted’ for The Cooperative Current Account that are completed fully online.
P.s. did on full site, still showing 151.50 cashback...
Unfortunately we can no longer offer cashback with this merchant. Please browse our alternative merchants or search above is the message I get!!
i am not going to waste my time chasing CB.
I've had £168 paid in last 3 months, £52.50 confirmed (yet to be paid) and now ~£202 with this pending. About £100 is from offers like open a casino acc for £20 and get £52.50 cashback
The current offer is here:

No mention of switch or transfer. I've saved screenshot of this page should they refuse the claim.
'Cashback will only be paid to customers who take out the product and transfer to it as their main account. '
Although it's weird that page on TCB also says no cashback offers for Co-op Bank and the one that does shows £151.50 - the intermediate site that links back to the page on TCB that says you have to switch!
Co-ops previous TCB offer stated a switch was required in the notes, not here. Terms definitely don't state a switch is required from the omgrewards page either.
I've gone with it without looking to switching, we'll see.
