No it's not. I've had kinetic watches before but the new solar powered ones are much better - you can leave it for weeks and it will still be ticking.
Besides, *everything* is directly or indirectly solar powered, unless you go nuclear.
If it does come with Sapphire crystal then very hot. I doubt this is a Japan made watch as the face says "Japan Movement".
Don't forget, you'll get six years warranty when you register your watch online with Citizen.
