Good deal.
Particularly useful for serious diy. Saves a lot of time laying wooden floors and any cross cutting. Although not recommended makes a good cut in thin aluminum section. Don't forget safety glasses though.

this is awful. want 45 or 90 degree cuts? forget it. everything is slightly on the wonk. bought one for a single, simple job and wasn't even good enough for that. avoid at all costs (I got refunded).
buy an evolution from the seconds outlet on eBay. infinitely better.

I've had an evo mitre and a circular saw from eBay b/c and both have been excellent during a mostly oak with some pine kitchen fitting. the wood and metal magic blades are pretty decent so long as you don't force: gives good clean cuts in hard and soft wood.

Bought one last week. For average DIY use it seems fine and a bit of a bargain at £64.99.
I already had a non sliding Evolution Compund Mitre saw. As a comparison, the Evolution is a step up in terms of build quality, finish, and accuracy. But an Evolution sliding mitre saw that can cut 305mm timber would cost over £150.
The casting quality and finish on these Challenge Xtremes is akin to the sort of tools you would pick up in Aldi. Of which I have a fair number and they are perfectly adequate.
These are now re available on the Argos website, having disappeared last week.
Hope this helps. There is nowhere else you can get a sliding mitre saw with a 305mm cutting width for anywhere near £64.99
