Cheap, as up-to-date drivers, cant argue for the price.

guys ..no doubt these are great printers ...but unless you can get good cheap aftermarket ink cartridges. .steer clear as the replacement cartridges cost more than the printer.
We now use Epson as a great amount of printing..particularly the kids school work... and cheap cartridges always available. ..makes it no brainer ..

My old Canon was bulletproof, new ones are rubbish (I replaced with a new rubbish Canon), even if I dont know how to spell "Canon" lol.

Since getting my Brother 8250cdn colour laser, I won't touch another ink jet.
Feature rich, fast, reliable, insanely cheap to run (get the refill kit!), great quality text, acceptable pictures, toner is so much more convenient and flexible than ink.
A steal for the ~£50 it was on hukd for, but imo easily worth £100.

Bit off topic, but does anyone know of a deal on one with a multisheet scanner?

I had a Cannon for 10 odd years, printed discs as well, was bulletproof - till it died.
So it was a choice between Epson and Cannon (ink costs), went for Cannon in the end - bloody awful software, drivers, must have mickey mouse programmers, its slow and buffer gets full, doesnt detect paper in tray and this is after 3 replacements (when brand new), I would strongly avoid and go for Epson.

Beware! I Purchased two Canon printer's approximately 5 years ago from ebuyer when I was registering warranty via Canon website they needed a warranty number etc which ebuyer had not supplied to me, I asked ebuyer for it and they kept making excuses etc ie "you don't need one' I then asked Canon they just said you can't register without the warranty number! So I couldn't make a warranty claim if I ever had problems with printer, luckily I never have, but I will be thinking twice before purchasing from ebuyer again!
