don't eat meat but a quid for a burger if you can manage not to spend a fortune is a great deal and for those on a budget could be a nice way to get a meal out as a treat for a couple or family, nice find x

You've probably eaten meat but you're just not aware of it. Remember, with food all genetically modified and whatnot chances are high so vegetarians digest meat without knowing.
A lot of veggies love burgers though somehow are against killing of animals for it. *sigh* If I were a veggie then what makes meat so great is what I wouldn't eat.

The burger and bread they use for these are not the same as the ones they use if you pay full price, surely the marketing idea would be to let you sample them for a pound then go back because they are so nice.

What do you mean "no Glasgow"? There's a Village resort in Glasgow and they've run this deal since opening in the summer.

No village hotels near me, looks like I'm stuck with the double cheese and bacon burger from the MacDonald's pound saver menu :disappointed:

Always this price on a Friday. Also 20 quid for a room on Fridays and Sundays, 25 quid for a 50 quid food/bevvy voucher. Great hotel in Glasgow, stayed a few times now. 10 quid for a Sunday night room as long as you spend 48 quid on food and drink, so 58 quid for a good few bevvies, a couple of burgers or whatever, and a good nights kip.
Also at weekends ask for a red card, get a pint of Becks for £2.95.

The burger you get for a pound is not the same burger that is on their normal menu (neither is the presentation). Its just about worth a pound and no more. Drinks are horrendously expensive £3.10 for a coke and £4.80 for a pint of Bud. Their hotels are really nice though, I'm a member of the Glasgow Village. Their A La Carte menu is too expensive for what you get, e.g. £28 for a small sirloin (extra for side).
