Was looking for a Britax Evolva 123 car seat for my daughter late last night and found it for £69.99 at Halfords and when I clicked through to the site they are doing 10% off a £50+ spend (also 15%off £100+ 20% off £150+) so ends up £62.99 with free delivery or click and collect.
This offer is already on HUKD but for an older kids car seat so thought I would risk putting it on for a baby car seat so any parents like me don't miss out on a bargain

I absolutely wouldn't put a 9mth child in one of these type seats. have also found when they grow past harness stages and are using this with seat belt, they really don't want to b sitting in the "baby seat". we ended up getting a different high back booster. a one seat fits all ages seat just doesn't sit right with me....
that said it is Def a good price and voted hot on that tho :smirk:

I've voted hot on the deal by the way, it's a good price and Britax are a good brand.

I don't think there's a "magical perfect" cat seat, if there was there wouldn't be so many on the market.
It is forward facing only. Not up on the latest legal stuff so I can't comment on that. Out of interest what magical perfect car seat would you/do you use dale86uk?

I certainly wouldn't be putting a child younger than 15 months in a forward facing car seat and AFAIK laws are changing so that this is legally the case.
There are also very strong arguments based around safety that children should remain rear-facing until 4 years old.

It is perfect for a baby because it reclines a bit for stage 1 of its use. Lots of other 123 (9 month to 12 years) car seats are very upright which I consider to be not suitable for a 9 month old baby. My son, now 4 years, had the Britax Evolva 123 seat from 9 months on and is now using it in stage 2 with the car seat belt. It is a brilliant car seat and the only one I would purchase for my baby girl

The 10% off etc ended yesterday - sorry! Full price £69.99 is still £10 cheaper than anywhere else though, as far as I know

Is there a discount code for the 10% / 15% or should it be automatically applied please? On firefox on a pc it isn't being applied :disappointed:

Wouldn't use it as a baby seat, more an older kids seat (4+)

Great seat and as everestsimon says it fits smaller cars well. I have one in my Peugeot 106.

Great car seat, less chunky compared to some so well suited to smaller cars
yep just noticed that when I checked it after posting - no idea why its not working sorry!! If anyone can help that would be great.......otherwise I'm sure people can find it for themselves on Halfords.com if they have to

However FWIW I'd advise the Britax 2 Way Elite as an excellent one though, and very safe which can keep infants rear-facing up to 4 years old. https://erfmission.wordpress.com/9-25-kg/britax-2-way-elite/
