Bland? Are you serious? Punk IPA is pretty damn hoppy... drink 4 of them and I'll get a numb tongue and mouth ulcers!
Not sure if you know this, but Tesco Finest American Double IPA (9.2%) is a relabelled Brewdog Hardcore IPA - making it not bad at all for ~£2

Punk is very good but it's very inconsistent, smaller bottles seem to be better than the growlers, cans better than them both. Batches vary is taste massively

I find it a bit like Caffrey's. I'd rather have a proper craft ale than Brewdog stuff.

Wat. Caffreys? On what planet does an IPA taste like a bitter? And it is a 'proper' craft ale....it's not like Brewdog are owned by inBev or something? It's not like they are buying out other breweries. They still run with the same ethos they had when they were smaller.... albeit being a lot richer.
Some odd people in this thread!
Damn, didn't know it's included in the 4 for £5 deal! Will keep my eyes peeled

Agreed. Can only think that OP wasn't drinking what they thought they were.

Tried this a week or so back and found it very bland.....I wouldn't pay more than 50p a bottle for it myself.

Their Jack Hammer IPA is so much better.

Bland compared to what? What beer do you normally drink?

Bland is definitely not how I'd describe this. Very hoppy even compared to a lot of American IPA's which can be very hoppy/citrusy.

I bought serious amounts of the American IPA when it was 4 for a fiver and it is good. £2.09 no thanks. And yes, the Punk is comparitively bland.

Thanks. Portobello star (it was available in Lidl) or portobello pale are worth a try if you see them.
