Cash price £6995 according to the terms in the PCP quote
So I would assume they would also sell you the car for £6995
Also £1000 cheaper than orange wheels so even though it's not the car for me it's still worth some heat

The wife's Aygo is over ten years old now but on a long, steady motorway run (admittedly in the summer) it will still return 64mpg. I used to get much the same with my dearly departed Daihatsu Sirion which used exactly the same engine.

Good price, did get 78Mpg with mine (once) = 50mph motorway only over about 200 miles, generally 57mpg (average) over 1700 miles so far. Sounds more sporty from the inside :-). Good economy car, little underpowered, but great economy. Currently 0 Road tax, due to CO2 rate.

I got it, even if the majority didn't...
For the benefit of everyone else, the "I could get a 5 year-old BMW for this price" is a common trope on HUKD car deals, usually when a cheap, low-powered car deal surfaces. Next to Loughborough guy's Onkyo quote it's probably the second most common quote here.

I should have added that wifey is looking to get a new motor this year. She's likely to just get another Aygo but I'm trying to get her to think about the new Suzuki Celerio. i had one of these for a year last year, one of the nicest cars ive ever driven, nippy and even went well on the motorway, only downside was its a 4 seater, no seat belt in back middle probably because it was so small so no family days out for our 5 person family but the car it self was excellent!
now driving a new focus, i know very different cars but still have happy memories of this aygo, also one of the nicest looking small cars on the road!
the only negative i had was when i had the air con on the car would need a few more revs when changing gear or pulling away or it would struggle a little, but other than that only have positives!
i think the big negative to me for this deal is arnold clark!

I don't see how they can charge £400 more as the only reason they could would be an administration fee which they would have to declare. As there is no deposit contribution or anything you can just take out the PCP, cancel in the cooling off period and pay the finance company the final £6896. Job done.

The cash price for the car is presumably 6995. You lease it, and so have to pay interest. That's 1884 over 41 months, so 46 quid per month to borrow 7000k. Seems about right.
The PCP example is 125 quid per month for 41 months (£5125), then you owe them the balloon of 3712 quid.
200 quid per month is a very normal amount to pay on a car per month. So 125 is insanely cheap. That's approximately 35 Café Latte with a shot of caramel @ Starbucks. If you have 2 Starbucks per day, for each working day of the month, then you can afford this car and only have to revert to tap water

Its a real world measure, Best mpg was motorway between Plymouth and South Wales, addmittedly at a speed of 50Mph for about 180 -200 miles to get a fair representation, as anything over 60 starts impacting the MPG. Average MPG of 57 includes around town, but very easy on the throttle, up to 60mph on the A38 (good A road). If you drive like a sports car your MPG dives quickly. My other vehicle is a Kawasaki ZR7 which consumes far more petrol, but does get up and go.

Faster? Really? Good luck transporting a family of 4 in less time on your fast motorbike - the improved MPG doesn't help much after your 2nd return journey to pick up the other family members - and a sidecar would reduce both speed and MPG, so that's not an option ... There's not much boot space on a bike either. And I'll take the crash protection of a Toyota car over your motor bike any day of the week. Care to try a head-on collision? I'd put money on the Toyota coming off better!

Hmmmm....the Suzuki, Polo and Yaris are all quite a bit more expensive, about £3-4k more expensive for not a lot of improvement in MPG. The Peogoit is effectively the same car as the Aygo, anyway their MPG is near identical. All in all, I'd say in terms of value, the Aygo offers the best MPG.

And a head on collision at 60mph with another car going 60mph will 100% result in your death (in the car). Basically like hitting a brick wall at 120mph, no car will save you. A bike however, there is a chance you will be flown right over the car you hit and slide down the road. With leathers on, there is a better chance of living.
I'll take the bike. Or better yet, the bike for fun days out and as someone said earlier, a 5 year old BMW and have change left over...
Spod
2 Jan 16#84
You are kidding yourself. I've seen the results of a bike hitting a car head on, both at about 20-30MPH. The biker overtook me and then the car in front of me just before a blind bend and as he pulled back into the left lane met a car overtaking a tractor coming the other way. Result was bike cut in 1/2 and a dead biker. Car driver had minor injuries but survived. Yes, the biker flew and skidded, but the impact with the road wasn't pleasant. Turns out the tractor didn't have indicators so he was using his arm to signal to turn right - the car behind thought he was being waved round.
Most bike/car impacts are not at 60MPH and more often than not the biker comes off worse. If you don't believe it just ask anybody who works in A&E.
EazyDuz
2 Jan 16#85
Doesnt change the fact that you can still get a decent bike, a very nice used BMW and still have change left instead of this deal. There are certainly situations where a bike is the better option. Coming off a bridge and landing in water is another good example. Situations where you are trapped in a car after a crash, in flames, another good example. Plenty of graphic videos of people burning alive in their metal cages. Lets not forget tax and insurance 9 times out of 10 far more expensive on a car. Maintenance also cheaper and easier on a bike.

Really? Renault make engines for Mercedes and Nissan (1.5 dci) which are used in the A class and Note. I think they are leading in some area but I'm sure build quality has improved much. There loads with high mileages on autotrader so it more than capable.
But if Toyota did a turbo version of that car then I'd defo go for it, but for an extra £1000 for:

0.9 Turbo 90 bhp rear engine rear wheel drive

Cruise Control
Speed limiter
