They seem legit, but you should do your own DD just to be on the safe side. It's not that hard, and could save you a lot of aggro in the long run.
Pretty sure those positive reviews are from their pals/relatives. Judge on the worst reviews, and you won't go far wrong.
loquat1 to dragon_ninsu
25 Jan 161#226
PS Here is one of those reviews, spelling errors included. Highly illuminating:
In short most of my calls, emails and any follow ups were ignored. Oh, and not just ignored by any bod at their office, it's the Managing Director who does the ignoring best. Blaming back office systems at first is excusable but after so many attempts and conversations, instigated by myself, they simply ignore you.
Most alarming is one of the staff there told me to send their fee plus the £1,000 dealer deposit for my new car and they would pay the dealer for me; seems odd so I paid the fee only and said I would pay the dealer/supplier direct myself.
I am still waiting to hear news about my car, so feeling a little miffed I ever sent the fee.
Here's a the best piece of advice; don't part with a penny until you have your car order contract signed by the supplier. Why? Well I credit checked the company and it's not worth a penny, less than a big fat zero. This is a UK LTD company and they could fold tomorrow and make you an unsecured creditor - you would almost certainly lose all your money.
Please please i beg you to go and negotiate with your local dealer, many are smaller businesses not part of a huge group and will be most grateful to at least negotiate, if not do you a good deal. It appears Broadspeed is nothing more than a website, don't be fooled by "dilusions of grandeur" via the smart website as there is nothing more behind this company than an inefficient MD who, in my experience, simply does not care. Buyers beware.
Hmm......couldn't have phrased it better myself.

Had A5, A7 and A8. The A8 is the best drive by a distance, but the A7 has the best look. Interior of the A7 appears a bit cheap compared to the A8. Also had all these cars from new. The A7 gearbox went inside a month. Audi replaced the entire car after I said I wasn't happy keeping it, stating that I had no confidence in it. I'd say Audi customer care beats BMW, but you need to know what words to say to get a result if something goes wrong.

It was a Quattro SE Executive, bought two and a half years ago. Upgraded Tech pack is standard. Had the 20" alloys. All the rain sensor kit, climate control, folding mirrors etc is standard with the A8, heated seats too. The only thing I did was choose the alloys, there's more than enough features on there already loaded. 3 different internal light colours too which I liked.
I still think the A7 looks better on the road, but the A8 interior wipes the floor with it, as does the drive. The A8 is an absolute beast on the road. Air suspension is superb.

So...
I drive about 30,000 miles a year...I see lots of bad driving...I see tons of estates in middle-lanes of motorways, I see lots of exec cars flying along in outside lanes, and if I'm behind a Micra on a windy country lane I know I'm in for a delay. So I get the stereotypes, I nurse a few of them myself.
I see people become scared kittens the second there's any adverse weather conditions.
I expect fog lights on motorways the second it rains from people who want to be ultra visible but haven't got two brain cells to rub together and don't understand that they're dazzling people behind and minimising the chances of their brake lights being seen and increasing the chances of an accident.
I see non-indicating from all cars.
I see people who indicate as they turn their wheel going round a corner.
I see people who sit on back bumpers of the car in front....I often see dawdlers and panickers who cause people to end up on their back bumpers.
I see people flash people out, only for the flashee to be brain dead or a frightened mouse and sit there anyway...which no doubt causes the nice people to think twice the next time...and for good driving to slowly deteriorate over the years.
I also see drivers of all types of cars driving with the utmost consideration for others, and each day a hundred kindnesses on the road: people let out at busy junctions, trucks flashed back in, people move back to the inside lane quickly to allow the flow of traffic to increase.
There's good. There's bad.
It's not linked to the car, it's linked to the person driving.
Stop being cliched. It's boring.

Very well put. I see all kinds of drivers behaving badly and inconsiderately from all sorts of vehicles. I Fortunately they are very much in the minority and most drivers of all types of vehicles do drive carefully and considerately of others. It is my observation that BMW, Audi & Golf GTI drivers seem to have a slightly higher ratio of inconsiderate drivers compared to others. This has been my observation and opinion for many many years and not because everybody likes to have a pop at said drivers........ Yes I do find the jokes funny :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow. That is an impressive comment and the second one I've seen on this thread that is worthy of a thousand likes. I must admit I'm guilty of stereotyping BMW drivers mentally or whenever my BMW friends "jokingly" rant about how superior BMWs are. Admittedly though, I don't do the same to Audi ones because most of my cars have been manufactured by VAG, though my second car was a BMW.
Thanks for the reminder that it's stupid to stereotype people based on something as meaningless as a car. There'll always be drivers who do stupid things at times; it doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid, especially because they favour a particular brand.

Thing is, this price (why doesn't it include the extra £199 "flat fee"?) does not include a lot of the extras.
My first A7 was silver, and my A8 was Ibis white (which is the best white by the way, the glacier white does not look as good in my view, plus the Ibis is Free, unusual situation!). My first A7 developed a gear box fault within a month and the entire vehicle was replaced by Audi with over £3,000's of extras on the replacement, including the upgraded technology pack which had the HUD display. Whilst this may look like you have an ash tray in your dashboard, I found it a really good fun feature.
By the time you add some of the essential extras, the deal is not that shattering. You're better off picking the correct moment to go to an Audi dealer and making silly offers on some of their A7's or A8's. I got a bran new Ibis White A8 for a ridiculous price, which has a lot of features on by default. Yes, it's a bit bigger, but the drive is different league. The A8 came in at less than £40,000 ! You'll spend around £36K on this deal for the A7 by the time you've added a few essentials, like the paint, tech pack etc.
Never be surprised over what a dealer might let a car go for. Their mark up is huge. Sometimes they will need to shift one or two units to hit a certain target. That's where the amazing deals come in. You need a close buddy to be on the inside, failing that a friend who has a close buddy, then go from there. I had someone, but he's now moved on to BMW. You'd be hard pressed to get a bran new A8 for under £40,000, but I managed it. That means others can too.

A litre per 1000 miles would prove to be a bit of an inconvenience for most. I owned a Mazda RX8 a few years ago and true to form the rotary engine burned oil like it was going out of fashion and believe me it soon became a bit of a pain to keep an eye on. Have owned a Porsche Cayman for the last four years now and it's been the complete opposite, always indicates near max level, has never needed a top up once, just the one oil change on the two year service interval, has been remarkable.

The comments in this thread are ridiculous. It's all bravado...I drive a Mondeo so I'm more courteous....'spides' drive corsas....audi drivers tailgate. What a bunch of nonsense. The way a car is driven is purely down to the driver and his/her mentality. Some people drive like idiots because they believe that where they are going to is much more important than anyone else's right to be in the road. As for undertaking, whilst illegal, it would not happen if the person moved back into the inside lane after their overtake. Also try encouraging another driver out from a side road and a crash ensues and find yourself being held partially culpable for the collision. Quite a few people need to go brush up on their Highway Code rather than post a load of **** on a forum. Heat for the deal but I'm on the fence about the a7, sometimes I think it looks nice and other times I think meh

I'm not really sure what people mean by 'driver's car'. While the transmission on my A7 was being fixed I was given a BMW 5 series which seems to be the reference standard 'driver's car' in the sector. I'd say it was 'OK' but certainly wouldn't say it was any more fun to drive that the Audi. Admittedly it was only a 2litre, but it's not all about power. One of my work colleagues has an XF which seems to garner a great deal of praise for its sporty drive. He loves it (although it's had loads of problems) but the Audi is significantly quicker and more nimble. If you pop it into 'sport' mode, there's barely any lag and it pulls off much, much more smartly than the XF. I wouldn't trade mine for a 5 series or an XF... not really sure what I would change to...
Years ago I had an MX5... that was a great driver's car

Reasonable deal, but to be honest a lot of the £40K+ diesels seem to get big discounts. I'm not a huge Audi fan though, they're lovely inside and look fine, but the diesel models I've driven (when comparing to a 330d) were just thoroughly uninspiring. Competent, reasonably quick, but the excitement factor was left on the factory floor. When you're spending that much on a car you kind of want it to be able to do a bit of everything.
Besford
21 Jan 16#134
Audi (or BMW or Mercedes) - a triumph of marketing over common sense. Generally OK cars (some exceptions up and down), a tendency to be 'service intensive' and ridiculous RRPs for what they are. Go ahead: buy on a cheap deal if it makes you happy but don't try to claim there's anything special about the cars - or the dealers for that matter.
All of the above supported by reports in the motoring press and elsewhere.
Maxwell34
21 Jan 162#133
Half the comments on here regard personal opinion of drivers choice of vehicle. Its a damn good deal - find it better priced elsewhere (in the same condition before all the tools pointing to depreciation pitch in). The fact is, the car is only as good as the person behind the wheel. If you can't afford it, you will naturally hate. 'moffers' seems like one of these (see post #126). I drove an old golf mk3 around for years like a tw*t becuase the car was worthless and it was so fun. I drive my audi like it was meant to be driven, fast. I still knew how to use the indicators (and all the fantastic extras the car has). Give a f*ck if all the haters on the road who's fiestas CAN'T indicate due to the malfunction of the electronics dislike my driving style; because lets be honest, you just wish you had the same ability. I still have an extremely fast audi in the garage but looking at this deal, would be very tempted at another if i had the justification to splash the cash. I don't, as the lady who drives my other audi around when i'm not using it in her oversized sunglasses needs a new set of knockers. That said, I won't hate everyone I see driving this. Get a life people and if you want to post on here during hours where normal people would be at work, stop hating based on jealousy as your JSA won't quite fund it. Before you try to turn this around, i work for myself and dercided to take the afternoon off. Might take the car for a spin and see how many people i can pi** off...just for the crack like. Becuase i am an Audi driver after all. So if my cars booting up your crappy cars **** soon, do yourslef a favour and get out the way. The fumes from your exhaust might spoil my nicely polished paint job. I already have to contest with the emissions scandal making my boot lid dirty, but so what, i love burning money and therfore fuel. Put my road tax up too please, the way i drive its neccessarry.

Boring. It's down to the driver. Most Audi drivers near me indicate. It's Ford and vauxhall drivers that are the worst and most are arrogant and selfish and never let people out of side roads and block their way instead, bash doors in carpools, etc

You are wrong. We have 3 cars in our household but whenever I drive the Audi, I just don't signal. I pull out on people, I never let them out and I never indicate. Clearly it is the car and in no way is it down to the driver.

Ugh another dull Skoda in a frock, id rather drive a Dustbin truck - has about the same level of soul about it.
Now you've just made that up, haven't you? Everyone knows the rule:
"I am driving ze German Auto - This is meine lane! Move out of my way immediately!"
Plus the car/driver thinks they're on the autobahn and find it acceptable to come racing up behind other drivers at 95mph and stay less than a meter away from the back bumper until they force the other driver to move into the first available gap.
Seems to give Audi/BMW drivers some sort of false plinth they think theyre on - above everyone else.

Just to add my two penn'orth... I've had an A7 (2011 quattro s-tronic) for about eighteen months and done around 20k miles. It's a great car, you don't see many of them and I am a real fan of the design (subjective, I know). It was approved-used with a twelve month warranty and about ten months in it developed a gearbox fault. It was replaced under warranty without any problems at all, but without the warranty it would have been something of a pricey repair. I subsequently renewed the warranty for a further 12 months and will do it again if I keep the car beyond that.
Without wishing to tempt fate... other than the gearbox issue, my experience of the car and Audi dealers (Bristol and Cardiff) has been faultless and I would absolutely buy another A7. But I'd maintain the warranty and would probably go for the BiTDi, which is rather more of a beast
Incidentally, it's barely used any oil.
EDIT: just noticed the previous post. My previous car was a CLS. It was a hateful experience from the very beginning... the car was riddled with problems for the two years I had it (gearbox, aircon, countless sensors), and the MB dealer was truly shocking. The final straw was a turbo fault at 56k miles. Their sales guy actually sent me an email in which he said he should never have sold the car... I assume they knew it was a dog. MB customer services were useless too. I guess it shows that different people can have wildly different experiences.

Epic car.
Currently have an A6 3.0 TDI Avant, but would love an A7 - mostly for the rear spoiler.
Just spec'd with the Tech I'd want - great deal all in at £38k. And the thing would pretty much drive and park itself when I'm bored!
The 3.0 TDI engines are great to get mapped too - upped mine from 245bhp to 300bhp and the torque is immense - yet still return 42mpg.
This car is the 218bhp 'Ultra' one - I'm sure it could be mapped up to 270+bhp easy, retaining the mpg too.
One word of note not yet mentioned...
This engine does need the Adblue additive adding every 7-10k miles - so there's an extra cost of that to add on. And the car will refuse to start if the level is low.
Annoying, but it's how they get it into a low tax bracket, so swings & roundabouts with the costs.

Hmm......couldn't have phrased it better myself.
was it on HP or other finance deal?
Also, thought you can only get refund with 16days??
I'm going to Castle Bromwich next week as it happens so ill see them being made.
Plus id feel better knowing i'd bought British (...cue comments regarding being TATA owned...)
Get a class car like the Jaguar XF, knocks spots off the above for your image.
I still think the A7 looks better on the road, but the A8 interior wipes the floor with it, as does the drive. The A8 is an absolute beast on the road. Air suspension is superb.

I wouldn't buy one but for its price its a good deal. Hot from me
Thanks for the reminder that it's stupid to stereotype people based on something as meaningless as a car. There'll always be drivers who do stupid things at times; it doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid, especially because they favour a particular brand.
What spec A8 do you have?
Flashing lights in the wet, undertaking instead, it's an Audi.
Cold - worst drivers on the roads.
Load of cow dung! Lovely cars but with limitations and unacceptable business practices
No ford, Vauxhall, Toyota, diesel I've ever owned has burdened a drop of oil
I've had an A7 twenty months and put half a litre in over 35k miles, although the tiptronic box is just about to cost me £2k to repair.
On a different note, the A7 has what I would consider 'questionable' styling, the back is a bit odd looking but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's certainly distinctive if nothing else.
I smell something and it's not burning oil........
Please don't get a Jeep ,there crap ,an if you buy a second hand one from a Jeep Dealer ,they don't honour the warranty even if it has 2/3 years left on it .then they lie about the damage they did to my bumper .that's Romford /Colchester branches .If you look up Jeep on the internet ,there will be a site in America ,you can read what they think of the motor.

And if you must know I'm not a fan of Audi's personally. I'm a BMW fan. And seeing as you are so poor with your predictions I'll give you a clue...its my username!
While it may not be a car for you (like it isn't for me). I still voted hot because its a good price, in comparison to one from a dealer.
Also for this price I would expect a Sony stereo, can't believe Audi cheap out.
Come to think aboot it is their any British manufactures left oot there producing cars and not owned by the germans, VW the Bentley to the likes of Tata (India) who own Land Rover and the good old Jag to name a few :man:
Your better off getting something cleaner for the environment. (You have a responsibility to Ur kids futures now).
Introducing the 2015 Tartan Prancer <--- See
BTW I own a 2009 Audi A6 which I've had for 8 months now and no problems... boring.... in fact bored of it but at least it looks good from the back when I cut people up on the road without indication :stuck_out_tongue:
Have I got the right car for that joke?
still some cash has been extracted from those 100% mortgaged middle class aspiring suckers lol
The term 'drivers car' does not apply sorry guys. Nor does it apply to any diesel I have ever driven. End of discussion
What it is good for however is fast road driving and touring.
Years ago I had an MX5... that was a great driver's car
Heads up! Ultra means front wheel drive not Quattro.
One is the well mannered considerate response of either I like these, good deal or not for me but hey if you like then go ahead.
The second is,utter crap, get indicators, you drive like scum, get a life it's just a car, I hate you, hate you, hhhaaaaaattttteeeeeeee yyyooouuuuuu.
Now my point is which of these two types of people would you guess was the most considerate on the roads?
Hot deal from me btw.
In there sale's brochure it states 67 to Gallon (Diesel ). I agree with you about they can't be botherd .I was married to a Machanic for 16 yrs ,I'm not a dum Red Head . I spoke to the service manager an he was coming out with so much crap ,it was laughable.
Well wish me luck ,I'm on the WAR PARTH with them .ha ha
Can't say I've looked at a car deal on here before.
Jaguar has great cars in this sector now and surveys indicate very happy customers. Better still they don't carry the stigma of the German clones.
All of the above supported by reports in the motoring press and elsewhere.
Edit: A4 before I get a sarci remark about an A1 or A3.
I'm sorry , after 2000 miles I imagine they may consider you are safely off of their hands ....

The only thing that smells of burning was my money on that thing!
But strapping two V6 engines together would be way more effort then just buying a car with a V12 or W12
It would be a huge step backward for traffic on motorways if no-one exceeded 70mph.
Though I do think middle-lane-hoggers should to shot on sight. Well, maybe at the next junction. Don't want to cause a jam...
Also depreciation is not that bad, 4 year old cars with 50/60k mileage are still going for £20k plus.
Heat added.
Did you go through a dealer or contact Audi direct?
Arthur
All my colleagues are 10 years younger and driving £20k+ cars. Then argue they can't get on the property ladder.
Each to their own I suppose. But no issue if you can afford it regardless..
I know a millionaire who drives an old Micra. He owns lots of properties and still wears glasses which are taped up on the side. He also sends his kids to Eton. He's a good bloke too. Maybe he is tight with his money. But it shows you don't have to flash to show you have cash, even though the A7, etc is a middle-class motor. Good price though.
Voted hot as its the nearest I'll ever get to having a car like this.
Hot.
The price of cars astounds me. Maybe I'm getting old.
I've had loads of fast and lovely cars, they're fun but they don't change your life..
HOT HOT HOT
ORDERED TWO.
WTF.
No one is forcing you to look at car deals.
Also, your comment just makes you look...bad to be honest.
Other colour options vary from £623 to £2048. Then you look at all the other option prices !
Each to their own. Why would anyone would spend £33 grand plus on an Audi ?
Heat added as indeed it's a good deal for some
lol - totally wrong deal
YAWN
our 2 year old a5 quattro had the clutch disintegrate at 22k miles and they tried to claim it was our fault!!! a £40k model with clutch that lasts 2 years??? Front suspension ball joint went at 18k miles
Never again...
Anyway, the A7 is hardly a popular model, hence the cut and heavy depreciation compared to the A3-6's.
Nice car to be driven around in.
Car enthusiast? I'd say more of a status enthusiast.
