Many other colours to choose from. Same price @ amazon for cream only.
A good reliable kettle. In laws have it for past two years and still working helps thme having a large display window. I went for the kenwood at JL.

It depends upon the metals used. These are never quoted and remain a mystery, never assume it`s just steel.

Although what is released from metal is not as harmful as that from plastic - all scientific evidence points to plastics leeching more toxins than metal.

Quick update as I received the kettle and toaster today c/o my local store. They are both the same colour, which I would describe as close to Wedgwood Blue with no hint of the green tint on my computer screen. The toaster has a single control knob with settings for warming, various degrees of toasting, and defrost.. There are separate controls for lowering bread into the toaster and raising the integral warming rack. There is a red on light in the stop button.
The kettle on/off switch has an integral light, but I see that it is now no longer available, so the above info is for anyone who has ordered the blue kettle but was confused by the "sky blue" toaster. They are the same colour!
Thanks again OP, delighted with both their appearance and performance!

Thanks OP, I went for the light blue (dark blue kettle oos anyway now). Confusingly Tesco call the kettle colour blue, and the toaster sky blue, but hopefully they are the same colour. I used a gift card that Tesco emailed me as refund for some doubled up vouchers I'd used to pay for a returned item, so like marlovian the pair only cost me £15! Bargain!

beware with these, you get a horrid plastic taste in the water for a good 50 boils before it disappears

Not a fan of plastic kettles -probably release toxins into water as they boil.
