Not a bad lasagne at all. prob not great value at £2.17 full price but for a quid superb, I recommend putting it under the grill to finish it off if microwaved.

Same as what I do and probably most people who care about what they eat.

But I can make a great lasagne and freeze it. And I know the ingredients in my one are the best quality.

You mean the likes of the low end stores such as Lidl and aldi that won the grocer and which supermarket of the year respectively? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah right. My guess is you're a budget shopper that shops in the likes of low end stores such as Aldi.

The BBC's figures are per serving, the Morrison's are per pack.
I actually get two servings out of the Morrison's one so make of that what you will.

or try http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/skinny_beef_lasagne_87277 lower than both on fats and salt, and I am sure you could leave out a lot of the ingredients to lower the cost ie 1/4pint of red wine, celery, nutmeg and parmesan because nobody who has any sense of smell would eat that

Morrisons ...... vs ....... BBC Good Food lasagne.
Are we sure homemade food is automatically just as healthy/wholesome? :stuck_out_tongue: Looking at the ingredients, to me it's hardly the scary list of chemicals you'd typically associate with "junk food".
Of course buying and cooking in bulk is still cheaper though.

I really like the frozen basics lasagne from Sainsburys. Not sloppy like some of the others. Quite cheesy and solid.

Not bad if you like horse, cat, dog, mouse droppings or whatever slop they fill it now with for that price  full of fat salt and assorted other junk no doubt. Yet again the great British public are sold the cheapest crap possible, lap it up and feed it to their children, which most profess to care about!

Nope.
But I can knock up a huge tray of Lasagne with good wholesome ingredients in around an hour. Divide up and then freeze. Much better value and better for you.
That may have been his point that you missed?

yep. I can cook & my partner is a whizz at it.
But dont you just sometimes want a day off & put something on a oven tray with some pre-made garlic bread & add a bit of salad? Dump all the wrapping in the bin/recycling & just have 2 plates to wash up?
I recommend this at least once every 2 weeks, Its good for you.
