Not everyone's bothered. They need something so go in and purchase it and think no more of it. Maybe they think your the foolish one for being a Scrooge and over thinking every penny that you spend.
seems a odd thing to say on a site where everyone's after saving money

Just to add the 2.5L tins are on offer at 2 for £22, some colours (the one I wanted) are not sold in a 5L tins

Whatever you do don't buy the crown 10 litre emulsion when it's on offer for £19.99 or £20.00. I got some recently and it's thinned down. I still had a 6 litre tin from last year and as soon as you go to stir it you can tell straight away. What a rip off.

Isn't Dulux paint now rather like supermarket cheese: ie 'standard' price is ridiculously high so they can claim a massive reduction on a very regular basis? You'd be foolish to buy when it isn't on a claimed offer.

How long do these paints stay well if they remain sealed ? I was thinking of repainting my room next summer

There are offers every few months on Dulux paint at B&Q, Homebase and Wickes

Or go to homebase and get the paint as part of their price match guarantee so you get the paint for £16.30 a pot

Homebase won't match sale prices useless IMHO. Just called their head office also they want it writing from the branch not on the website rubbish policy.

Just finished my sons room with just walnut by dulux. Super quality paint way better than the own brand crap that took 4 coat that's with decent brushes and roller

The price it should be if you ask me. How they can warrant nearly three times the cost for a bit of pigment when compared to white paint. Is just a rip off. B & Q used to be a cheap place to buy but I try and avoid them and Homebase with their even bigger prices. Dulux has been a lot cheaper than £27.40 at The Range for months. Their Johnstones range is currently £22.49 for 5 litres and will be that price for a while. They tend not to play the price lottery. B & Q need to be careful otherwise they could end up going the same way as Homebase and start having to close some stores.

My local B&Q didn't have any 5l tins but agreed to honor the deal as long as the colour I wanted was sold in 5l tins(apparently not all 2.5l shades are available in 5l). May be worth checking if there are no 5l tins.
