My boyfriend has this tablet, got it a couple years ago and paid £99 for it and I honestly think he'd be lost without it, he uses it more than his phone! We also use it to Chromecast NFL games on the weekend and NHL games during the week and it works flawlessly. I think this is a great price.

Had one of the older versions of this (173x) and it's ok for everything apart from playing games.

My cousin picked up a new one for £50 and it wouldn't play quite a few apps including Facebook and candy crush. So she brought it round to see if I could fix it and I spent hours upgrading the firmware because it literally would do one minor upgrade at a time. After about 8 upgrades I gave up, 'cos it was bedtime, but Facebook and candy crush were still not working...

Not being able to play Candy Crush on ot sounds like a huge positive to me...
Besides, I have one and Facebook runs fine on it.

Root and custom ROM then. I've got an old HP Touchpad with Android on it and although not the fastest it still plays a lot of games

Unfortunately there isn't much call for custom roms on these Asus tablets so finding one is hard work, if any!
