A lot of good prices on Asolo hiking boots at SportsDirect. I've selected the Reston, as I was looking for light weight, waterproof hiking boots and as they have very good reviews. Those are £145 on Amazon and on Cotswold and £99.99 on Ebay.

Only thing worth exchanging for would be carrier bags......

Actually you can return in store, but not for a refund. Just for a voucher or exchange for something in store.

Do they have these in-store?

They don't in Liverpool, but that's not to say that they don't anywhere..
I did not know that, that's surely not a good point for them, I'll think twice about buying from them in the future. Fortunately, I'm quite happy with the shoes. I bought them to replace an old pair of Hi-Tech that should have been retired a long time ago. This Asolo have a much harder sole than my Hi-tech but they feel very confortable. Got the Flu at the moment, but I'll take them out for a hike next weekend

I was thinking about slightly less green on the Reston. The Creek are a bit garish.
Clearly, with the soles, that could be an issue. The vibram ones on the Merrells are absolutely spot on for me. I might struggle if they are stiffer. Saying that, they can't be any worse than the contagrips on my Salomon trail shoes.

I don't find them particularly narrow - I've used two pairs and it has not been an issue for either. For a comparison I find converse high tops to be a bit narrow.
I use lightweight running shoes instead of hiking boots now. Over 500 miles without a single blister!

Problem with SD is if it doesn't fit you pay the return postage and cannot return in store

Is it just me but the photo of the boot looks like it's for 'big foot' or a size 15"

The Reston and Creek are pretty much the same boot, slimmer lighter sole with less padding than the higher end boots. As far as a comparison to Merrells, the Asolo boots are a step up in finish on the whole. The sole on them tends to be stiffer laterally as well as longitudinal.

It's a good price, but I can also see why they're cheap. They're not the best looking boot.
Shame they don't have anything else at a similar price. It's a cracking deal. I'm a big (proper, not cheap Amazon) Merrell fan, but I'd be tempted to try them at that kind of price.
Asolo make excellent boots, Triumph and Avalon boots look nice.

T.B.H. there is a fair range of Asolo here all at fair prices - would ignore some of the RRP though. Asolo boots regularly come up on Sport Pursuit website at a similar price. Never tried them although I believe they are quite a narrow fitting so you may want to try before you buy or check the returns policies.

Great price for a quality boot.
All the Sports Direct haters will no doubt vote this colder than it should be though.

Not allowed to post as a deal..... As its an EU based website, crazy!!! Amazon is EU based but that's OK....
Delivery is €11.50(apx£7.50).
