Exactly my point, they don't have to, because everyone steps in to help. I don't look down on you for trying to help, similarly I don't expect to be looked down on for not doing so.
I suppose that if everyone gave a little, there would be no problem would there? If only there was a way to implement such a system....... perhaps it could be taken from everyone's wage at source........:man:

I pay taxes but i can't stand by and see people treated badly.OK there are people who abuse the food banks but there's also a lot of people in desperate need for them.
Oh and this government don't really care about Unemployed/sick/disabled/working class people so don't expect any help from them.

Because:
1. Like the majority of charities, if people step in, they absolve the government of their responsibilities. This is not a third world country, no one should be without food, that's what we all pay tax for. BUT, if we keep giving to all these things, the government WILL let us, it becomes another tax.
2. Shelter, food, light and clothing should be a priority, by doing this, you allow people to reprioritise. I see this daily when I pick my kids up. I even overheard one woman sorting out her food bank slip over the phone..... on her iPhone6!!! She also has a sky dish with a quad LNB yet she cant afford food?!?! n.b I also aware that there are people in genuine need, but again, refer to point 1.
I'm not uncaring, I do feel for these people, but in my opinion that's why I pay tax, not for it to be given to Pakistan so that they can send a rocket into space.

They are a bit crap, but I used to snap them up for £1 as a quick dinner fix, so at 50p you cant go wrong

I stocked up just before Christmas when they were £1 so don't have any room in the cupboard for more. Make a good lunch snack if you have access to a microwave at work.
Some are better than others. The sweet & sour & Thai varieties aren't up to much IMO but the others are OK. The new whole grain versions are a step up as well.
