Quite a fun little device that works with most tablets (plugs into headphone jack). Mixture learning games in the app which can help child's writing skills etc. Is £5.49 on Amazon.
Easily worth a quid - the original £9.99 is maybe a bit steep though...
Here's their blurb:
Appen is the revolutionary pen for colouring, drawing, learning and playing.
Key stage educational values teaching your children how to write letters and count in a fun way.
Pressure Sensitivity--the harder you press the pen down on the device, the thicker the line.
No batteries required--Immediate fun: download free app for plug 'n' play.
Compatible with ios & selection of android devices.
Easy to use: can connect to smart devices via the headphone audio jack connection.
Capacity to track child's learning progress & share with friends & family, updates sent to social media & or email account.

IRONICALLY, WITHOUT even seeing this Deal yet, I came across this too!, about 2-3 weekends ago?, in Leytonstone Poundland!, there was 2 of them at the time, but only bought 1 of them at the time (& haven't been back there since).
It may be worth others having a look there too?, as most likely more have been added to the pot too?. :-)

Went to download app but states not compatible for My Nexus7 2012!
Tried it with my HTC m8 mobile, seems to work but the appen gives off a constant buzz/humming noise from the mini speaker when appen is plugged into mobile!

frankly even a quid is a bit steep. bought 2 2014 xmas for my girls and it worked on none of our tablets and only one phone. unearthed them a couple of weeks ago ago and they didnt work on our current tablets either. i paid 14 quid a piece!

I could have written this myself, 2 x £14 in the bin. This item is not worth 1p let alone £1. Complete fail on ipad mini 2 and Samsung TabPRO

There is a reason they are going for a £1 - they are rubbish. They used to be a lot more, mine broke within 30 mins of using it, total waste of money and not even worth £1

We had one - couldn't make it work.
Read the reviews for the app before you even spend a pound on this one.
