This is a more powerful version. That probably means heavier and bigger. I bought one of the 6000 versions. I've only used it once so far to test. Things of note - 1) it charged my phone overnight and the phone was still 100% in the morning. 2) one of the clips was broke (I've resolved this with the powers that be) 3) It seem to take a few hours to regain a full charge (at least 4-5 hours) using a Nokia phone USB mains charger (no idea of the output).
Four Extra Charges: Adds around four full charges or up to 96 hours of battery life to most smartphones (12000mAh capacity) and charge two at a time with 3A speeds through both ports.
Magnetic Cord Magic: Wrap any 0.1in / 3mm diameter cable around the battery with the included clips or use the 7in magnetic Micro USB cable to charge on the go without any fuss or tangles.
Swipe-to-Activate Power Meter: Check how much power's left with one simple swipe.
Magnetic Connect: Designed to work seamlessly with the Zolo Tough Case, Wall Charger, Car Mount & more.
What You Get: Anker Zolo 4x Battery, Zolo Short Cable and Clips, Anker's fan-favorite 18-month warranty and friendly customer service.

no they are very well made and have very good reviews I've had one for 2 years and use it almost daily and it's all good. Also when stuff does go wrong they have a no quibble warranty. They just send you another. I'd go for the 20000 mah one though. The new generation is a lot smaller and the larger capacity for a few quid more is better value

It's got four 5* reviews and three 1* reviews, all the negative reviews claim they're faulty. I'm staying away, wait for the EC technology power banks to come back on sale, they're proven and seem to have the claimed capacity.
I doubt it since Amazon states quite clearly it's only been sold since Sept. 2014, which is a little over a year. Also every single review is from 2016.

That's what I read too.The Amazon.com Reviews are just as bad. I think I'll give this one a miss and find something else.

I have the older version which is larger and has 3 IQ ports with torch. And I also have the new version which only has two ports. I have had no problems with either of them. I also bought one for a family member and they haven't had an issue either. Out of all these battery manufacturers I personally think anker products are well made and they have very good customer service.

Already have two 10000-12000 power packs from previous deals... So why am I tempted by this? Only thing stopping me is the reviews...

You mean like the 7 Amazon reviews of this product 4 of which say it is faulty?
I wouldn't risk it.

If you allow 7 reports of faulty items on what must be a relatively high volume item to put you off then its a wonder you ever buy anything on Amazon.
For what its worth I've personally owned three Ankers, all of which were A1. I was sent another company's alternatives to review for a while and their quality control was far worse.
As a result, when it came to choosing an external battery for presents I purchased Ankers. Of the five I've given out every last person has been extremely pleased and reported no problems, ranging from eighteen months to a couple of months use.
The only gripe I've got is that they removed the torch function, which I found quite useful.
BTW - ignore the recommended price. I've never seen them selling for anywhere near that. Probably just a gimmick to attract bargain hunters.

"Really nice product but mine didn't work!" being one of the Five star reviews.. so that's more than half of reviewed items don't work. What kind of moron leaves a 5* review for something that doesn't work.
A lot of people not wanting to accept that their beloved Anker made a rubbish product here.
