Excellent tab and the only one that officially supports PS4 remote play.

Brilliant tablet, brilliant screen, excellent wifi. Great price .
Mind disable location services if you get stuttering with the remote play

Tempted to buy this. I owned this tablet...decided to sell it to a buy an iPad mini. While the mini is great, I miss the 16:10 ratio of the Z3C tablet. It's much better for media viewing.

If you use Chrome no, all translated to English for you and Amazon's service is European wide.

Returns can be tricky - you have to return at own cost and wait weeks for the refund to be processed. Warranty is another grey area with Brexit shining bright on the horizon.

Expecting this to drop now the Z4 tablet is out, but it's more expensive than when I bought mine in July. Great tablet and just the right size to hold comfortably.

Z4 is a different animal to this, Z3 is still one of the best tablets on the market.

Good deal but not the tablet i'd go for.
£50 less (£149) gets you the revamped Nvidia Shield K1. With 4K HDMI out, front facing speakers, much better cpu and graphics capabilities, amazing gaming performance plus the latest near stock android marshmallow 6.0 build. Only shortcoming is 1gb less ram and the sony is thinner with NFC but performance will still be much better on the Nvidia. The K1 has got to be the best value android tablet out on the market at the minute.

And the Z3 is waterproof, has amazing battery life, super light, charging dock available and has a premium feel about it etc....
The Nvidia is powerful but it isn't a match for the Z3.

Well depends what you value, waterproof and lightness and charging dock are nice extras but by no means essential i'm more concerned with performance and operation. The Nvidia K1 is a beastly cpu and far outperforms the aging snapdragon 801 in the Z3. The K1 runs rings around it in terms of graphics performance and it even gives the ipad air 2 a run for its money. Latest android 6.0 near stock build should also give it a performance boost. Plus the amazing gaming capabilities whcih are unrivalled on any tablet, 4K HDMI out not to mention proper front facing stereo speakers and it still comes in at over £50 less with full uk warrenties etc. Battery although not quite as good as the sony, still very good and doze mode in android 6.0 will again help with that. But to be honest just the cpu and latest stock android would have clinched it for me over the sony anyway. I got 2 snapdragon 801 phones and performance wise they are starting to show their age.

The Z3 is due 6.0 update soon, Sony don't change Android much either.
The build quality on the Shield is pretty poor, the screen quality nowhere near as good, the Sony has HiRes Audio hardware support as well as built in noise cancelling compatible with a couple of their (optional) headphones. I have totally agree with you about the power difference, I have both a Shield TV 16gb and Pro but the Sony is far from a slouch and I'm never one for sticking with any one device usually (I've owned well over a dozen tablets, currently have the Z3, a JXD 7800 and a Lenovo Yoga Pro 13.3 LTE) but having had the Z3 (LTE version) for a year now I can't see it getting replaced anytime soon, its just too good tbh and nothing I've seen since has the magic qualities to beat it.

I had ordered a mobile from Amazon.es (Spain). Within 6 months, the headphones that came with it stopped working (1 year warranty for accessories, Sony phone has 2 years) . Upon contacting them, they quickly replied (in good English) that they could either refund 10% of the value of phone (EUR40) to buy a new pair, or I could contact the manufacturer.
While a great solution, I felt that it wasn't Amazon's fault, so I contacted Sony UK support centre. Their reply was they were not sure if they would honor the warranty, because the phone(and accessories) were bought from a different market (poor excuse). I replied that the phone has European warranty, it was bought from a European country, and the same headphones were sold on their UK website. They requested that I sent the headphones for evaluation, and they finally sent a new pair.
There are no complications, and Google's Chrome browser translating all pages makes it much easier.
It terms of payment, you have 3 options:
- Pay Amazon's final GBP value ( by using their exchange rate)
- Pay the price in Euros, and your bank will use their exchange rate.
- Use a card that is in Euros.
I ordered something from amazon.de and my prime wasn't used not sure if that is normal though?

Prime only works if the goods are shipped from the UK, I have had orders ordered from .de that have shipped next day from a UK warehouse.

How much different is the z3 to the z4 tablet? I'm thinking of getting one or the other. I currently have an Ipad 3 that I'm starting to hate as well as everything Apple related as they restrict you with so many things and they're technology hasn't massively improved of late!

I got one of these when released, for me, best tablet out there. perfect size to hold one handed and fit in back pocket as I travel a lot/ use it at work. build quality is unbeatable. battery life great. it's just getting the screen repaired, my fault, sat on a chair with it in back pocket and shouldve snapped in half as it was trapped between seat and back rest with my full weight on tablet. just screen cracked, still worked though.
loved it so much I got the z4 tablet with keyboard for home use for all family to watch catch up etc. that tablets even better but battery life doesn't seam as good but maybe just because I don't automatically put it on charge every night. miss the magnetic dock too. ps4 remote play is awesome on the z4
