Salvation from these dark winter nights - now you can keep the lights on without the bayliffs coming for your tv.
Philips Small Edison Screw Cap (E14) 6W LED Candle Light Bulb was £10, now £5. Equivalent to a standard 40W bulb, but a snip of the running costs. Unlike other bulbs, these are compatible with dimmer switches for these times where you need to set the mood.

That's because your dinner is probably expecting a load of at least 40 watts. Replace your dinner or dimmer module with LED dimmers and the buzzing will be banished.
Plenty of dim able LEDs in my home and none of them buzz but I had to replace a handful of dimmer modules.

They have lots of different types. Go for the LED filament lamps for the best spread of light and most light per watt of electricity.
They have :

Or for standard shaped bulbs with the latest LED filament design: HERE

Ledlam make LED bulbs with 4100k temperature. It's very nice and equivalent to direct sunlight at this time of year (without the Rayleigh scattering).

your eyes adjust to the colour temperature, if they didn't, you'd pretty much only ever be able to see properly at midday. The only time colour temperature is a thing you need to concern yourself with is when you're a) buying multiple matching bulbs say for a halogen light fitting or b) a photographer or c) any other job that requires you to be able to judge colours accurately or finally d) hydroponics or aquariums.

Does that not add a bit of a chill to everything? Serious question. I couldn't sit and watch the TV of an evening if it felt like the middle of a football pitch at night hehe.

Thanks OP. I tried to buy these online but I couldn't as the item is out of stock and only states that when you try to enter the credit/debit card details. Rang Customer Service and reserved for collection from local store. Unfortunately cannot use the £5 discount voucher. Still a a good price.

Silly b22 bayonet cap. Also philips are really good in led, this bulb is bright, and good in quality.

I prefer warm white. It looks more cosy in some rooms such as sitting rooms and bedrooms. I agree daylight white might be preferably for kitchens etc.

phillips are good bulbs, the MR16s (12v spotlights) are £3 too which are even better - 6.3W => 390lm for £3, they have a heavy solid metal heatsink on them too, really good quality.

Bought 5 of these a few weeks ago on "half price" for £3.50 a go. Wish CamelCamelCamel existed for real shops.
Anyway they're quite good bulbs. Better than some dimmable LEDs and fairly inoffensive to the eye. good spread of light too.

I read some youtube tests of Poundlands latest led bulbs and they were well rated, so £3 got me 3 small screw candel bulbs which work really well. The rest have been replaced with a mix of Screwfix led (9.99 for 5 bulbs deal) and B&W Dial 8.7 watt GU10s.

A nice Dimmable Colour Temperature of 2200-2700 K (from spec). There's nothing natural about the very warm white light these emit, traditional yellow light should die with the tungsten lamp IMO.

Yeah agreed they work well. Even single ones are bright enough for hallways etc
I used Varilight JQP401W as a dimmer. It worked out the box in mode one. But philips suggest leading edge mode 2 which did work better. They are on amazon at about £13. And no buzzing
