Bought this a few weeks ago because I needed one of the heads to open up and reset the battery on an old Nook Simple Touch. For the price it's a great deal. Note if that if you're buying in-store these are usually located by the tills rather than with the other screwdrivers.

Mine arrived today, very small heads possibly too small for normal desktop pc screws... Ok if you want small bits though

How can one make up one's mind when one hasn't had the opportunity to even try the item out. Surely it is hot until proven cold?

I bought this a while ago because it looked like a bargain but its completely naff. The bits are poor quality, too small, they're annoying to sort through and difficult to return back to the pen. Waste of 99p

You can normally just get these in Poundland

I've had mine for a while and it's been quite useful for quick IT needs. Wouldn't use it for DIY. However, the bits can be nightmare to get back in (until you've mastered it) and they can also be a pain to get out.

Cheaper than poundland these are extremely useful; for us computer and electronics geeks.

Just as long as you know they are not tungsten or designed for heavy duty use.

Same price as always, part of the value range. Not sure it's a deal but maybe you want another to go with the 3 you probably already have from poundshop etc.

I have used these. They are good. Everywhere else they cost more than £2

Whilst if you're in the trade and you are using screwdrivers like this on a daily basis, you probably want a far more durable and premium product. However, for most of us enthusiasts that will need to unscrew something 'every now and again', I would bet that this is likely to be up to the task.

The very small Philips drive is perfect for opening battery lids on toys.
God knows how many times I just snapped the plastic lip to get to the batteries before buying this screwdriver

bought from poundland few days ago to open up a ps4 controller and the screwdriver bit fell apart lol.

Has a PH000 which i needed for tablet screws, looks fairly robust for the size with Chrome Vanadium bits.

not actually used it yet though

Yes, that's exactly what I said earlier but sadly the message just isn't getting through.

If this screwdriver is decent enough that it lasts, fair enough but that wasn't the situation I was referring to at all.

It also may be the case that some screwdrivers based on this design will perform better even if the price is almost identical.

Just for the record I haven't used this particular screwdriver. I was just responding to what another user posted as to what a 'deal' is and giving this as an example based upon what some people had posted here. Use of the word 'if' often gives clues.

I purchased one from Maplin last year for a specific job,I've been using it ever since,a very handy tool to have and for 99p,a bargain, I paid a lot more for mine,a whole pound.

Looks a lot like the Tommy Walsh one from Poundland that Big Clive is very fond of on Youtube. I'm not sure how fond of Tommy Walsh he is but probably more than you'd think.

I bought one of these from "The Range" in Nottingham back in October , the same price and not on offer. So neither hot or cold from me. A usefull tool if you have a one off laptop repair to carry out like I did.

Buy these from the poundshop often. Very useful... although not great quality - who cares for 99p!

Good find OP. Never seen them in the shops so bought mine last year from Banggood for £2.79. Only needed the T5 bit to open a smartphone.

They are always in poundland/ world/ shops but good to have around the house
