These are really fiddly to change the weights due to the spin lock rather than a clip but not too bad if you just leave them the same usually.

wondering whether to get these. Ive just got a chin up bar and just want to work on my arms to get them a little bigger... should I just stick with the chin ups?

Go to the gym instead, it'll keep you more disciplined and motivated, just saying....

i have neither the time nor money for the gym. my chin up bar is always up in my house so that twinned with press ups I am hoping will tone me up a bit

dont like the look of these - already packed to the ends so cant be expanded and long so more likely to wobble
cheap though

The gym is like 4 quid a week, just find a pure gym or something like that.
Chin ups and press ups are awesome though you might want to try weighted chin ups if you're bar will hold

finding a gym isn't so easy for everyone, 35 quid a month is cheapest round here and the difference between a 5 quid chinup bar and 420 or so quid a year is quite big imo, especially for what they were wanting.
and weighted pull ups are not needed for such a person or even most people!

you have a lot to learn, my friend
brilly
21 Jan 161#17
really? is 420 not quite different from 5?
so where is my closest gym at 4quid a week?
why would you recommend weighted chins but not raised or weighted press ups?
please educate me

weighted chin ups are amazing, my favourite exercise- you dont like them?
Surely you've got one of those no contract gyms by you?
brilly
21 Jan 16#22
i am sure they are amazing but they are not essential for a guy who "just want to work on my arms to get them a little bigger"
and no i dont have one of those gyms near by and that doesn't change the fact that it would be alot more than a fiver chinup bar if i did

You wouldn't join a gym simply to do chinups. If that's all you want to do, buy a bar and do them at home
brilly
21 Jan 16#24
no ofc you wouldn't - would you join a gym to 'work your arms a little bigger'?

Chin ups, press ups, and a set of these weights for shoulders/triceps/squats etc, ideal fit someone getting started. Don't be put off, just get cracking and try to enjoy yourself. Diet is all important, though. Google for some diet plans and home workout routines.

It's all irrelevant anyway. We don't know of this deal is good or not until the master speaks
