For those who said the lenses were blurry. Did you give the correct pupillary distance? I've heard if it's slightly off it can cause eye strain.

If you mean the Pupil Distance (PD) then yes they do, its part of the online ordering form where u fill in the prescription.

1.67 hi index lenses are an extra £30 iirc. Just follow the order process through and it'll show u the cost before checkout.
High prescription are only available with hi-index lenses.

I've ordered before, and like many others experienced, they were not fit for purpose as the lenses were just a blur.

I ordered a couple of pairs and they took around five weeks to arrive. They were fine and fit for purpose - equivalent in style and substance to those from Specsavers costing over £90 for two pairs, so this was an excellent deal. In fact, the online glasses were much better than my last pair from Specsavers which were heavy and clunky once they put proper lenses in.

Tesco give free eye tests if you want to try them?
Yes, I ordered 2 pairs, both frames the same but one of the pairs were (meant to be) tinted. I received the correct frames but in the wrong colour (black instead of grey), and neither pair were tinted. They're cheap glasses though and are doing the job.

I have been using the site for about ten years now and never had any problems. As for the tint, you can choose just how dark you want it. Really recommend them.

Not voted either way as some customers may be happy, but, ordered from them twice, first order was 2 pairs rimless which kept falling apart within days of receiving and only used for reading, couldn't really tell if the actual lenses were any good as one side of the over ear arm and lens kept falling off (both pairs) and even superglue didn't fix! 2 years later (lured in yet again by cheap deal) thought I'd give them another try but this time with full rims, new prescription (which had barely changed) and both pairs are unwearable, really weird and blurry to try and read through so am using my old (highstreet) specs again...bliss in comparison...and clear words with no eye strain/watery eyes!!! There isn't going to be a third order. Shipment was from Pakistan and arrived in less than 2 weeks. I didn't contact them to complain, we get what we pay for and I shouldn't have ordered the second time!

Probably a silly question but will my existing optician be able to provide me with the values needed to order these? (Sphere Cylinder Axis Add PD etc)

Hi if you have an eye test with an optician they have to give you your prescription some try holding onto it but it is yours and you are entitled to it

Stay clear is my advice. Ordered two pairs, lasted no more than 3 months before the screws came out. The ones I had were frameless and I had the Mick taken constantly from my wife saying I looked like a perv in them as the lenses were that thick

I wondered this too but thought sod it, its only £40 if it all goes wrong!
But the frames i ordered which are TR90 material and the cheapest ones, they are brilliant, flexible and mold to your head perfectly so i have no complaints but obviously your mileage may vary if you chose other frames which are rigid and may need adjusting.

I had this same experience I'm afraid. Ordered a pair of the cheapo ones, they call them 'acetate' frames but they were really of cheap quality. The package was shipped from Pakistan and the both glasses were covered in dust.
More significantly, I had a headache when I started wearing them with everything looking quite blurred and not quite right. Couldn't really put a finger on it and ended up taking them to the high street Specsavers. The optician there told me the lenses were not centred correctly i.e. the PD was not set right, and asked me not to wear them.I complained to G4U online, and to their credit they replaced the glasses straightaway without asking me to send the other pair back. Tried the new pair on, and one of them still didn't feel right however the other was ok.
With all the hassle this involved, I wish I had gone to Specky4Eyes which I had used before. They've been spot on with my prescriptions. Of course, mine may have been a fairly isolated experience but be warned.
size of the lens required from what i could work out.

Same here, i paid £150 for the Costco glasses and this was with the cheapest hi index lenses at £90 and £60 frames. And i don't think opticians do refunds on glasses and lenses lol might phone them though and ask the question as its only 2 months old.
Whoever they use to manufacture must be useless cos they couldn't even get the frame straight after fitting the lenses.

Like joke shop frames.

For anyone looking for a review on goggles4u....
I have ordered 2 pairs of glasses from goggles4u in the last month and to say i am impressed is an understatement.
I have a really high prescription (-11.5 and -11.25) and you normally can't get glasses of this prescription online and these were the only company that could do it.
I bought the cheap £6.95 and £9.95 frames made from the TR90 material which most folk would class as flimsy but it isn't. It is a new type of thermoplastic which is very flexible and returns to its original shape.
Anyway the glasses i received were bang on and i could actually see almost perfectly out them which is a lot more than i can say about Costco.
I bought Costco glasses in Nov 2015 and they were shockingly bad. Lenses were so out of focus it was unreal. I thought this was just due to me being blind as a bat and having a mega high prescription but it obviously isn't as goggles4u have made me 2 pairs of glasses that are spot on and both of them cost under £40 each including the high index 1.67 lens.
I will not be going anywhere else for glasses ever again.
I am happy to answer any questions for folk.

been using g4u for best part of 4 years. They use same designers from luxottica and other major designers.
Recently ( 2 weeks ago) got two pairs delivered, one half rim came perfect but the rimless was bent a bit, so sent a pic and they sent me a new pair for free. Have to say, last 3 pairs of rimless came broke, think more to do with postage than g4u.

I've got two pairs recently. No tint, just for reading. They're fine albeit you can tell they're budget glasses. Only slight criticism is they tend to attract dirt and smudges more than my decent glasses. But for the price paid they're fine. Took IIRC about ten days from order to delivery.
