It shouldn't matter whether it's £2 or £20, I just bought holiday insurance for £13 and it's going to save me a lot of money getting 2 for 1 on Tuesday's and Wednesday's!

That doesn't mean it was free, it means there was a glitch I.e. a mistake!

Not really no. Unless it was advertised as free with no requirement to buy a policy, which from my recollection it wasn't as I signed up straight away, then it wasn't free. What people did was exploit a glitch I.e. fraudulent (no judgement).

You could also walk into Tesco, go through self checkout and put a sirloin steak through as mushrooms, that doesn't make it free or discounted does it?

I paid £2.04 for one day travel ins, wasn't even travelling. It was easy to do and now have 2 for 1 movies for a year. it took 2 days for it to activate. great deal!

I payed £1.37 last year,and I still haven't been to the cinemas yet to use it.

You guys are crazy wasting time bickering on the internet on something which is irrelevant now! Thank you for posting OP - it's an excellent deal, either way.

So i signed up for a policy (not realising I had to physically create a compare the market account first, and register my email address).
So I took a £2.23 insurance policy and paid for it.
When I went back to compare the market to then register and claim my 2 for 1 meerkat movies, although the deal had gone through, Comparethemarket can't find my order on their website as I wasn't in a logged in state at the time i placed my order.
just a heads up for anyone else.
Make sure you register for compare the market First, before starting a new quote otherwise you will get this error message when trying to claim the 2 for 1 tickets

Yes. It is not immediate. Took 2 days for my dad who didn't register. Guess it varies by the insurer chosen.

I took out a policy several months ago and apparently qualified for the 2 for 1 but didn't know about it as they don't notify you. I stumbled on it when using their site again, so think back you may have already qualified.

Which cinemas are they valid at? I had a quick look but can't see it anywhere!

So long as you have paid the £2 and entered a valid policy number (but used a junk email address or phone number) then it would be sort-of ok since you are a customer of sorts.
