3) Closing the window.
4) Opening the Meerkat Movies application on your mobile device.

Thanks how do you get the 2 for 1
I bough a day cover in uk 2.67
It shouldn't matter whether it's £2 or £20, I just bought holiday insurance for £13 and it's going to save me a lot of money getting 2 for 1 on Tuesday's and Wednesday's!

I can find insurance for £2.09
If I pay this for one day will I get 241 tickets for a year?

Yes. Shortly after you've bought the insurance, the app will display the expiry date as January 2017.

It was free. You were able to put it any policy number and not have to pay.

For those that didn't want to commit fraud had to pay

That would be a glitch rather than it being free.
From what I remember they allowed current policies through them to use it as well.

Use fake details. I used 10MinuteMail for an email address and a really old work phone number. I'm never going to use the insurance policy so it doesn't matter to me.

24 Jan 16#26
Does anyone know if this works for cineworld vip? probably a stupid question :stuck_out_tongue:
dalipsinghno1 to SolidWarrior
24 Jan 16#29
1) If you buy a 3D you will have to pay the balance for your MK. This in mind if you have a VIP I assume you will have to pay the balance for the MK.
2) As an extra info if you have unlimited you will be able to use it with 2for1 hence you will get one tickets from the membership and free tickets with MK. This is great if you plan to see at least 4 films a month this will get you 8 tickets in total with just one unlimited card.
OP worth putting this in OP just so that the readers know this.

24 Jan 16#32
That doesn't mean it was free, it means there was a glitch I.e. a mistake!
shareef
24 Jan 161#33
Not really no. Unless it was advertised as free with no requirement to buy a policy, which from my recollection it wasn't as I signed up straight away, then it wasn't free. What people did was exploit a glitch I.e. fraudulent (no judgement).
You could also walk into Tesco, go through self checkout and put a sirloin steak through as mushrooms, that doesn't make it free or discounted does it?
I paid £2.04 for one day travel ins, wasn't even travelling. It was easy to do and now have 2 for 1 movies for a year. it took 2 days for it to activate. great deal!

I've no clue what app everyone is referring to. Can you please explain to me what I do after I've bought the insurance?
Since we are on the subject... I signed up for Meerkat Movies hoping to get out of the house more with my husband who has cancer and is unable to work. I am now hoping to purchase a Cineworld pass. I just thought I would put this out there in case anyone would like to help with the cause. Just taking a look would be greatly appreciated. https://www.gofundme.com/22jy4vgc

So i signed up for a policy (not realising I had to physically create a compare the market account first, and register my email address).
So I took a £2.23 insurance policy and paid for it.
When I went back to compare the market to then register and claim my 2 for 1 meerkat movies, although the deal had gone through, Comparethemarket can't find my order on their website as I wasn't in a logged in state at the time i placed my order.
just a heads up for anyone else.
Make sure you register for compare the market First, before starting a new quote otherwise you will get this error message when trying to claim the 2 for 1 tickets

Which cinemas participate in the 2 for 1 offer?
All major cinema chains are participating in the offer. If you want to check if your local cinema is taking part, use our handy 'locate a participating cinema' in the MEERKAT MOVIES app or alternatively check with your local cinema.

So long as you have paid the £2 and entered a valid policy number (but used a junk email address or phone number) then it would be sort-of ok since you are a customer of sorts.
