Cue all of the "Toby food is rubbish" blah, blah, blah - the fact that this offer is for Crowne Carvery is irrelevant of course.
At the end of the day, if people don't like Crowne (or Toby) food, so what? This deal is for those that like it, or those that may be tempted to find out for themselves if it's a good deal and whether the food is ok. For the price I fail to see how anybody can grumble at these deals.
Believe me, if you had to suffer my wife's culinary skills, you'd think this grub was Michelin star tucker!

For paupers on tight budgets who are happy to eat frozen meat & veg. Beats tinned meats & veg at home I suppose. Spend a bit more for better quality at Toby Carvery.

We prefer crown carveries never had a problem with them too be honest, where as there have been a few times we have planned to go to at least 3 Toby carveries and just before we have they have been composed by the environmental health, so stay away from them as if 3 are closed for a period of time from environmental health we think it is probably a company thing

Visited two crowne carveries midlands and they were terrible, both times visited midweek I don't know if its different on a Sunday. But there is also a local Toby carvery (again visited midweek) and the difference is night and day really good. I know both chains are owned by the same company so I cant understand why the quality isnt the same across both.

Good solid northern /midlands foods, i do however object to the wording of hand battered fish. I would hate to eat a hand battered fish . It conjurers up the image of the poor fish being punched time and time again while it screams out in agony and then dies. Why not word it in a more tasteful manner by using the words punch drunk fish with bloodshot eyes, that conveys a more macho image of the fish and when you are drunk you will think you have got bloodshot eyes and the inherit boxing abilty of at fish which is zero.
