Why would anybody pay more for Andrex when Nicky is better quality and cheaper?

Was two for £7 until quite recently at Farm Foods. Also the sheet count went down last year from 180/roll to 170/roll, so a little shrinkflation too. But yes, in spite of the effective price rises this is definitely still the best value, good quality loo roll around, and can be a little cheaper if you can take advantage of other FF deals and use their £2.50 off £25 vouchers.

I love their kitchen roll that Farmfoods does. It has a lovely image of lemons and foiliage on it, slightly kitsch.

I'll stick with Andrex. Tried Nicky once and it's definitely not as good. I can do an adequate clean up job with a single sheet of Andrex. With Nicky it was regularly taking a second sheet to get a decent result.

You should have around when schools and government offices used to use the tracing paper type toilet paper. Now that was sandpaper. Also good for tracing paper for school homework.
You youngsters have it cushy and may I softer nowdays.

As a skint person who also sufferer with Crohn's, I have become a bit of a budget loo roll connoisseur; I totally recommend these, they're absolutely the best budget loo rolls, there's nothing in this price bracket to match them. Nicky Elite all the way.
I used to get them from Home Bargains, only recently realised that Farmfoods also sell them (much nearer to us!)

I used Nicky for years but my toilet was slowly but surely blocking up more regularly. I mentioned it to my mum and she said it was due to Nicky and they had stopped using it due to the same problem.
I changed back around 6 months ago and no more blocked toilets
I think due to it being quilted it doesn't break down too quickly.

Andrex is 2 ply and 221 sheets a roll. But your fingers are 50% more likely to go through

I used to be a fan of Nicky however I recommend Plush much better and without the scent which is not to everyone's liking particularly the females in our house. This is £2.49 for 12 rolls made specifically for Home Bargains. Try and I'm sure you'll agree.

Indeed,I've been using Nicky for years and a while ago we tried some Andrex that was on offer,no comparison, the Nicky is far superior.

I used to think the same. I have found that andrex is far better quality and actually lasts longer. It's also wound tighter on the roll whereas nicky I found was quite loose and gave the mere impression that it had the same number or more sheets than andrex. In short I found it to be a false economy.
I live with a family of 4. Used to get through at least a roll of nicky a day. Andrex rolls last at least a half day more sometimes a whole day. Plus it is actually stronger.
