The last time they had spanners in - ratchet ones - the website said CV but the packaging said chrome plated only.
There's a big difference - read the packaging.

walked into lidl to buy bread, came out with the £15 hammer drill, the screwdriver set, the spanners and some random sealants and adhesives I did not need... but hey, we all love a tool!

Useful that it's got all the odd sizes - 6,7,9,16,18 and 20 as well as all the standard ones. Hard to believe that you can get 15 decent spanners at less that 50p each, but I'll get a set for the out-of-house toolbox.

These aren't bad for the money actually. Last January I had to stop at a Lidl and buy some tools when my wifes car starting running really badly on a long trip and got a set of these spanners. Also got the screwdriver bit set which has been put on another thread.
