14 night trip including 12 nights around The Cyclades (Greece) including Santorini and 2 nights in Rome for £350pp with flights, ferries and hotels.
This deal is based on 2 people flying out of Manchester on 22nd June and returning 6th July and staying for 1 night in Athens, 3 nights in Paros, 4 nights in Ios, 4 nights in Santorini and 2 nights in Rome.
There are plenty of flights to chose from across the country, Ryanair have cheap flights to Athens from London across the month of June.
Trip breakdown
22nd June - Leave Manchester early morning and land in Athens around 12pm and explore Athens for the afternoon.
23rd June - Leave Athens early and hop of the ferry which will take around 4 hours to get to Paros, you will arrive just before Midday so you can check into the hotel.
24 - 25 June - Explore Paros' beautiful beaches and quiet island life
26th June - Check out the hotel and hop on the ferry to Ios which should take around 2 hours, check into the hotel when you arrive
27-29 June - Explore Ios' secluded beaches and hit a few bars
30 June - Check out the hotel and hop of the ferry to Santorini which should take just under an hour, arrive at Santorini and hop on the bus into Fira and grab another one to Perissa, or jump a taxi and check into the hotel.
1st - 3rd July - Explore Santorini's blue domes in Oia and lay on Perissa's beautiful black beach
4th July - Check out early and grab a taxi to the airport to head to Rome, you'll land into Rome super early so probably best you advise the hotel so you can leave your bags before check in
5th July - Explore Rome
6th July - Check out and leave your bags in the hotel and you'll have a whole day to explore Rome before your late flight back to Manchester
Athens - I've only put you in Athens for a night and half a day as I've done Athens twice and I wouldn't recommend more than a day here, basically visit the Acropolis and the main square and there isn't much else, it is a great base for sailing to the islands. I've chosen Victory Inn hotel which has great reviews and is a good base for the Metro which you'll need to catch the ferry in the morning!
Paros - This beautiful little island is great for relaxing with some beautiful beaches and it's very traditional and rather quiet, perfect for the start of the holiday. The hotel I've chosen is Dilion hotel which is close to the centre of town and also close to the harbour and beach. The owners of this little hotel are lovely and friendly and they pick you up from the port for free, the hotel is lovely and clean with an excellent location. I've stayed her myself and can't recommend it enough
Ios - Ios is a bit more of a party island than Paros with nightlife until 6am but don't worry if you're not the party type it's fairly quiet until 12am as the clubs don't open until then so you can still go into the centre and enjoy a quiet meal and drink until about 11pm! The beaches on Ios are some of the best I've been to. I've chosen Homers Inn as I've stayed here twice and the owners are so friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, it's close to the port, the town and the beach! The owners also pick you up from the port too for free if you request it.
Santorini - This beautiful island is known around the world for its blue domes and it's as beautiful in real life as it is in the pictures. I've chosen to stay in Perissa as its a lovely resort and much cheaper than Oia which is all luxury hotels which are very expensive. Perissa is home to a beautiful black beach, and the hotel I've chosen is Aretousa Villas which is a lovely family run hotel, I stayed here this year and the owners are really friendly and the location is excellent being a few minutes walk to the restaurants and beach.
Rome - Rome is a city everyone must visit, you will be here for 3 full days which gives you plenty of time to explore all the sites. I've chosen St Paul Hotel which is located close to a metro for access to the city and it has good reviews on TripAdvisor.

This deal only includes hand luggage as for the amount of travelling you'll be doing it isn't ideal to be lugging around a case, I have done a similar trip to this 2 years on the run and have had just hand luggage with clothes for everyday, as its summer clothes it's really easy to pack! I just buy my toiletries after security and then you'll have them for the whole trip in Greece. If you do feel you'll struggle maybe just check a case in between two of you? To add a bag with Easyjet from Manchester to Athens it is £19, with Vueling to Rome it is £14.69 (€20) and with Ryanair it is £18.73 (€25) so it will be £52.42 for bag between you or £104.84, it is definitely worth either taking hand luggage or checking in one bag between two!
This trip is just a guide and you can change it for dates, departure airport and islands that suit you!

Thanks steve, it's just something I enjoy doing, I like to show people how easy it actually is to do a bit of travelling on the cheap! I don't really have enough time to do it full time with work :disappointed:

Ummm no.
It's not cheeky to offer to help someone do what they love so they can profit from it.
So no, I won't. I see you couldn't help yourself from extending your own neck though...
Heed your own advice. Don't even reply.

Hi, great read OP. Did you take into consideration the taxi fares to and from the airports and ferries? Does anyone know how much it's likely to be? When I have travelled like this before it has been the most expensive part of my holiday. Thanks :sunglasses:

Santorini is a fantastic place. Great for families, couples and honeymooners
Depends on how much you drink and eat really, me personally with the Mrs and 16yr old son in tow i budget for 150-200 euro a day.

just don't believe what the news say about that. They said last year that there would be no fuel for the ferry boats to go from one place to another, lol.
They just want to make tourist to go somewhere else, like Turkey.

It depends on what are you looking for. Naxos is more for families our couples. Paros and Ios more for friends.
Naxos is also much bigger than other Cycladic islands, so, you need more time to explore. you need at least 4-5 days.
Another place to go if you like just to go on the beach and enjoy the sea, is Koufonisia islands, just between Naxos and Santorini.
