National i believe. These aren't the 6 + 2 packs you normally see, your getting double that for £1.50
Yes pound land do batteries for £1 but quality batteries for 50p more? This is a bargain

Ditto.
Apparently Duracell make different batteries for different shops - there is some website which shows all the batteries for sale in the UK shops and compares them. The cheaper ones often come near the top oddly enough.
Might go for these though if I am in Iceland as my local Poundshop has stopped doing the Panasonic 12 packs - 10 =2 'free' - for a quid.

The amount of times ive bought these and forgot and left them in Christmas ornaments and following year, leaked all over and damage the insides meaning I cant use them any more, need to remember to take out when not using. Guess you get what you pay for lol

Crap ones..... Read up..... All alkaline batteries are covers by about 10% ish on performance..... The point here is that ANY Duracell is not particularly better or worse than any other alkaline brand (the chemistry is identical) so the issue is people paying usually extra for the brand name for no other reason than their massive marketing budget. Do IKEA, Wilko, PL etc. advertise their alkaline batteries on TV........ No........ Hence them being cheaper and roughly the same.
To the person who said pound shop alkaline cells leak... no different to other brands and alkaline cells shouldn't leak to the extent of zinc cells
Do people even know the differences....

Yet another ridiculous heating of a non-deal on AA batteries. At least in this one they are at the NORMAL PRICE for alkaline cells, that being 12.5p each, rather than hot and an inflated price. But everyone don't go crazy - this is the normal price for alkaline cells so don't make a special trip. The 8 packs in PL for £1 or 4 packs for 50p / 8 for 95p are all within 10% the same as these (generally 10% better).
So I suppose at least there is a positive that this is hot when it's the normal price compared to the usual hyper-expensive Duracell "deals".

There are different ranges of Duracell, those ones are Power Plus which are quite good (not the best but quite good), pound shops usually have the Duracell Simply which are the crap ones.

Not all Duracell are equal, far from it. Ikea batteries give you far more power for your pound.

Bad news, just been into my local Iceland where I purchased these and the they are not back up to £3.
On asking why i was told that today they changed all the deals and i was lucky to catch on to these before they changed. If you can get these at this price today, well done otherwise i think it will have expired in many big stores. Sorry.

In all fairness, most alkaline batteries will perform similarly. I use Wilkinson's own brand which are 50p for a 4 pack of AA or AAA. They might not last quite as long as the big brands (they may do though), but the price:life ratio is far better.
Having said that, this is a very good price for duracell.

I've tried Duracell & Panasonic AA batteries from the poundshop in the XB1 controller. Surprisingly the Panasonic ones lasted longer.
