Glass litre bottles of coke and diet coke reduced to 50p in Asda. Asked and its nationwide however they reckon it will go quickly as it's the remains from Christmas stock.

Anyone else found any anywhere for 50p?

This deal was posted as a national deal.
If it is no longer available nationally, or never was available nationally, what is the official HUKD procedure to deal with such posts? EXPIRE? SPAM? Or something else?

but while we are at it BMI is not a good form of measurement, so therefore is this suggestion also misguided? Calorie and Sugar intake in gross levels leads to type 2 diabetes. of course it does. if it didnt it would be type 1 and you would be born with it.

The other 21.6% are made up.

You could say that about any acid though such as acetic or citric acid. I'm sure we've all heard about the cleaning powers of vinegar or lemon juice.

Great deal.
No one other than the OP appears to have got this deal, despite it allegedly being national, and yet it is 4th best deal of the day. I must say I've never even seen this product in the Asda store in Pershore.

Not according to Diabetes UK, it certainly isn't a case of 'of course they are linked'. Being overweight probably is, so it would be safer to say calories and T2 diabetes are linked, although this is also not conclusive. The biggest research study found that sugary soft drinks had a small effect on diabetes risk after BMI was taken into account.
It probably is healthier to avoid large amounts of sugar, but it isn't a fact that sugar causes diabetes. Personally I don't touch the stuff as I've seen how nicely it can clean objects of rust and corrosion and I'd rather not have that in my stomach!

I am the Coca Cola Monster. Do not confuse high quality 4.50x(4x330ml) glass bottles of cola with bottle top with these fake ones. It tastes the same as a plastic bottle and is equally as flat. Trust me, I got 10 of them.

I take it you don't have T2 diabetes then? If you did you wouldn't make such a stupid comment. Of course sugar intake and T2 diabetes are linked, hence the incredible increase in T2 diabetes - and its caused by our high sugar, high processed food, high carb diets.

It probably won't though as there's not much of a direct link between sugar and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 definitely has nothing to do with sugar intake.

I work at asda and deals differ store to store. It depends on what stock the shop have and whether the manager wants to reduce them depending on his waste. Our store is still £1.15.

Glass? Seriously?
I thought the glass bottles only went up to 330ml.
Its a limited edition they did for over Christmas, sold by Asda only. Has a plastic screw lid like a normal bottle. No idea why they didn't use a metal screw lid.

No point in asking staff, they haven't got a clue . 99.9% of people who ask staff are told it's nationwide, less than 50% of deals are. That is the same in every supermarket.
