Bought the Z5C from O2 a few weeks back at £360, doesn't get very hot, (the Nexus 4 it replaced got really hot) and the camera is not at all blurry. I too read loads of negative forum posts and watched out for all the problems. Yes, one speaker was louder than the other and it rebooted a lot on the first day but a flurry of Sony updates later and I have a relatively small and powerful phone that has incredible in call sound quality, an almost perfect nexus like interface and loads of other great features that I'm really pleased with.
This blurry camera issue has pretty much stopped me in my tracks.

Seems to be so many problems with these z5 phones when you look on sony forum, from over-heating to blurry pictures etc. Anyone that have one care to comment? Regret getting a z5? I'm very tempted but these issues are putting me off

I bought a z1 and think it was really below par, really about the level of a second gen moto g, but no better. Not at all surprised the camera on this not what it should be.

I had this for a review - Yes - this is now a great price - but I just couldn't love it. I was primarily interested in the camera but the speed of the camera really disappointed me. Between taking photos there was too much lag. I also experienced the quality issues in the corner of the pictures too. However to be fair - I am also comparing this against the speed and quality of my DSLR. It did get a bit warm but nothing more than my own S4 Mini does on the odd occasion. I also couldn't get away from the "blockyness" straight sides shape of it and as I never get a phone without a case, it would certainly have added some extra bulk. As it is, it's comparable to an S4 mini with a case attached.
In all, for the specs and this price including battery life, waterproof etc., it is a great phone. For me personally, I'm holding out for some variation of the s6 in mini form or even the next sony compact iteration. But heat for this price though.

Use a Z3 Compact, had it for a year now, no problems whatsoever. Camera and video are both the best I've ever used on any smartphone. Would totally recommend Z5C if thinking about getting a Sony.
For me the Z5C doesn't warrant the upgrade from Z3C. I used a Z1C before the Z3C that was a good worthwhile upgrade

I'm on a Z1c atm and highly considering a Z3c. Good to read that you think it's a worthwhile upgrade, may have to treat myself for Christmas
