Is this model still relevant? It doesn't have the extra buttons does it? I know not every game supports it so I'm curious as i want one buy would rather future proof in one hit.

It is still relevant but some games are now coming out that wont work on the older models (such as this) but I haven't seen anything to say that it won't be relevant at all.
Zelda Majoras mask uses the new C stick but afaik, still works on the older models
Monster Hunter works out of the box on the new model but requires a circle pad pro for the older models
Xenoblade chronicles (I think that's what it's called) wont work on older models at all.
Those are the ones I know of to date.

You'll get a display case, charger and two year warranty direct from Nintendo. The Argos 3DS came with 5 games! Great if your starting out but you have no choice in the games, fortunately, plenty pre-owned from games available from GAME and CEX

Thanks.Taken a quick look and it seems the Yoshi one came out in March 2014 so wouldn't think it can be that limited if it's still on sale now. That said maybe it could become a collectors item some day and the free charger is a definite plus. Can't decide now!

The Amazon is, good if you are not bothered about ltd addition. This one does have a two year warranty and free charger/amiibo case. I would say the smash bros one over the Amazon. Smash bros game, ltd addition console, charger, plush, amiibo, reader and 2 year warranty for £30 more.

I was waiting for a New 3DS XL deal to come up, but Yoshi... <3 I don't know if it's just me, but I couldn't get the SKULLKID5 code to work. the DISPLAYCASE1 code worked though.

Fancied a 3DS, prefer the new ones but the deals on the older models 3DS and 3DS XL are amazing. Came home tonight to see the Yoshi pack reduced again but (given I'm a grown man) I went for the Smash Bros bundle instead.
