Bought one of these at tiny deals dot com for just over US$13... not sure how that worked out as they were all priced around US$22 after I made the order.
This is a quality product that should not disappoint.
I originally purchased a T3 Bluetooth Gamepad that had favourable reviews but in all honesty it was just cheap junk.
The Xiaomi Gamepad is well constructed and just as responsive as "first quality" controllers from a Playstation or Xbox.
Without the batteries installed, the controller feels a bit "lightweight" but once you put in the batteries, the controller feels very good.
I've been using this Xiaomi for playing arcade emulation games (Mame4Droid on an MK808B Plus TV Stick). My girlfriend likes to play Lode Runner and this requires very accurate controls to win. As mentioned before, the T3 was hopeless but the Xiaomi is very responsive and accurate.
Definitely recommended!

Received mine today.
Packaging - Small (5mm) dent to box, shrink wrap intact. Nice design touches inside, such as foam under the lid to prevent rubbing in transit and tabs to keep the leaflet central.
Design - hybrid of the Xbox and PS4 controllers. Feels nice and has enough weight.
PC - paired up straight away and works fine. Used X360ce to emulate a xbox controller for some games.
Fire TV Stick - paired up as a game controller and works fine. Tried snes9x and Table Top Racing, didn't need to adjust anything. There seemed to be a hint of lag in Mario, may be just me...
Overall - pleased with it. Great VFM.

They post this in cheap packaging. Breaks while it's in transit. What's the point in buying too much hassle.

I would also like to know about what devices it's compatible with and how many could be connected simultaneously to each device. I guess I could use it with my PC with no problem, as I'd be able to install drivers and configure it however I would like, but would it work with a Wii U in place of a Pro controller?
Get some (decent) rechargeable AA batteries. I use Eneloop batteries in any of my controllers that don't have their own batteries (Wii remote, Wavebird, a Logitech wireless keyboard) and they're very reliable and last for ages in these devices.

I believe, and hope, so.
It's a price trade off. Given it lasts a year in standby mode + 80+hrs in use I think it's acceptable.
Depends how risky you feel.

Really good looking pad. Xiaomi have a good design team. They know they styling cues people love from other brands and go to town with them. They also don't skimp on quality. Their build quality rivals Apple in some products I've seen so far, however the lack of USB recharging here was very shortsighted. Would rather pay a bit more and have that functionality.
