It's frustrating when Xbox Live deals get posted directly from Major Nelson's blogpost and people don't bother to add the UK prices. Now you'll have to individually look up each title to find out what the discount price is.
But I already have, so now you don't:
Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition £52.79
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Gold Edition £22.00
Call of Duty: Black Ops III £45.64
Call of Duty: Black Ops III Digital Deluxe Edition £71.99
Destiny: The Taken King – Legendary Edition £36.84
Tales from the Borderlands Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) £8.00
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited £20.00
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Imperial Edition £28
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Premium Edition £37.60

And somehow the whine is about tax evasion.

As dannyguk91 says "Plus with XBo if you game share with a friend games could be half the price."
That, there, is the reason to buy digital games. It costs more than the physical copy if there's no account sharing, but a hell of a lot less if you account share. Me and my other half game online together, at the same time, on 2 xbox ones but with just one digital purchase of a game and 1 gold account. How many people gaming with a partner or friend are buying two physical copies on two gold accounts, and thinking everyone buying digital is a fool?

exactly been doing it with my cousin since day one we have 2 xbox live gold subscriptions as we use 360 still aswell but would effectively only need the one gold to play just on 2 xbo consoles and 1 copy of the game digitally... but we are stupid tax evaders ..

Great informative post there Blinky.
Not for me though as I like to get hold of the physical copies and install them to HDD if needs be, but great workaround for anyone who prefers the digital copies at a good price.

please explain how it's tax evasion?
COD BO3 Digital Deluxe version was £44 from Colombia last week.
it was £79.99 on the UK Store.
Are you saying that UK tax is £35 on this game?
Didn't think so....

Why is it ok for companies to make stuff abroad and sell it in the UK but not ok to buy from abroad to get the cheaper prices... If a product costs the same price to make but sells for 400% of the price else ware I don't see the issue of it. Especially when said product is made by poor people being exploited so top collar can get bigger pay checks.
Anyways that's my justification for using key sites!
I bought the rare reply on the weekend on xbox store, but none of these seem like interesting discounts, still heat for the info!

4 Dec 15#49
I hear what you are saying but:
Both games you mention are EA so use your EA access to get 10% off the digital list price.
Buy a £50 Xbox Live voucher for around £42 on CD Keys - the price fluctuates, sometimes its cheaper to buy 2 £25, etc, sometimes you'll pay £44 but you still get around 15% discount. Use this to buy the game at pretty much the physical price and then game share. No resale value but for me, I usually hold onto a game until its worth pennies anyway.
dannyguk91
4 Dec 151#47
about same at columbian xbox store.. reselling see.. reselling a game means the game creators are losing out on the money, where a digital collection most will go to developers and it saves you shelf space only you can run back and play any time you want without realising you got a measly few quid back on it from CEX.
Plus with XBo if you game share with a friend games could be half the price.

Special Offers? You're joking, right?
Comparing the prices for DLC games, which has no media, no packaging, no actual transport costs with a physical copy from an online retailer, then then it's a no-brainer where to purchase from.
It might be just me that thinks this, but I think some of the prices on 'Xbox Live' are a freakin' joke/insult to anyone's intelligence.
Haven't the time to spend checking all the games, but for instance, two of the games I've been looking at recently:
PLANTS Vs ZOMBIES GW2 (Standard) - £54.99 (Xbox Live) - £42.00 Amazon UK) - (£50.32 Amazon FR)
STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ (Standard) - £54.99 (Xbox Live) - £41.99 (Amazon UK) - £37.01 (Amazon FR)
Probably cheaper elsewhere, but just a quick search with the usual suspects would save approx £31 if you bought both games.
Also, if you want to sell/swap a game when you've had enough of it, this can be done with a physical copy, but I haven't yet found a way to do this with DLC games.
Any takers?

I have heard some real rubbish spouted on this site however I won't pick out anyone in particular but comments regarding tax evasion and piracy are absolutely so far off the mark and removed from reality I struggle to comprehend how anyone can even sit and type it out.
This is more than simple tax and straight up price gouging in some regions.
I wish I could see how big my ignore list, it grows every day with the stupidity displayed on this website.

Thanks for getting the prices - the only problem with finding them is I'd have to sign in to see them, and I've already bought some of the titles so the prices wouldn't show for them (it only shows 'Already Purchased')

Spend some time in the real world where the vast majority of people have to watch their money/make it stretch and can't afford to pay over the odds for goods. Digital goods at that.
I think there's a stark difference between a billion £ corporation evading paying tax throughout their life and an individual not paying a few £ on a digital game. If you can't see the difference then you truly are bonkers.
And don't even get me started on your piracy comment.
