Sorry to go on about Amazon.de, but they have offered much better deals than this. Keep an eye on Amazon.de and .fr. Cold from me.

I'm sorry but I'd love for you to show me proof that this limited edition halo console was on offer at the places you said.
If you can't do that and I'm sure you can't then stop talking nonsense and vote appropriately.
This is a halo 5 limited edition console. Not your usual bog standard console. Stop comparing apples to pears.

I know it's silly but I got put off amazon Europe deals as warranty was void and the plug had to be changed, got one from Microsoft in the end!

Erm console from amazon.de €415, digital TV tuner from amazon.de €15, Sunset Overdrive from Libro €20, Destiny the taken king from Libro €20, Rise of the Tomb Raider from MediaMarkt €40, Master Chief controller from amazon.fr €52 which makes a grand total of €562.
€562 equals £407 at this exact moment in time, I sold the Halo game code for 30 quid and recouped around another 55 quid elsewhere because I'm on it
That's just over 320 of Her Majesty's Pounds Sterling for everything you see pictured above by making the purchases from various retailers in France, Deutschland and Österreich
It's great being an Xbot in Europe :sunglasses:

So the console was €415, which is pretty much exactly £300. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove...
If you're trying to show off what you managed to bag then we'll done in getting all those extras for £107.

I'm not trying show nothing off, merely demonstrating that 300 quid is not any different to what it's been going for on amazon.de for the last fortnight at least.
And also demonstrating if you hunt about and 'play the game' a bit you don't have to pay through the roof for the extras, even though young Kamikaze seems to think I have a need to lie about this :smirk: strange little child

I probably would have grabbed it if I saw it at that price. UK machine or not. Didn't see it posted on here.
Did you sell the extras from the collectors edition?
I'm planning to sell the game and armour. Hopefully the req packs have a separate code but I doubt it.
Enjoy the system.

I sold the game code, but still undecided about the tin model thing.
The other 55 quid I dragged back is a special formula I couldn't possibly publicise on a family web site :man: some things have to remain totally Chas exclusives

You still feeling tender after looking a dinlow the first time round flower?
Don't worry you can feel all 'geezer' this time because unlike you I'm not that intellectually challenged to go running my mouth off before engaging my brain.
Are you really that dense to think the average person with even low to average IQ will come on sites like this to broadcast to the world the little 'strokes' they pull?
Oh silly me, course you are :man: only have to scroll up a couple of posts to see conclusive evidence of it.
Anyway let me edit a Merry Christmas in  hohoho

I'm still not sure if to grab this or the Xbox Elite Bundle. Is the extra £100 worth it for the controller and SSHD? I think the controller would be a fad/bragging rights for me personally as I don't play as a professional or competitively much (anymore).

12 Dec 15#23
The SSD is presumed only 8GB anyway for system files so ever so slightly quicker on start up but beyond that both the elite with ssd or HDD models load everthing else at the same speed so wouldnt splash out for the ssd its just whether the controller is worth it. Not so much for me

Been waiting and waiting. Not interested in the Amazon Europe deals so this one is definitely getting my attention. Only downside for me is the digital copy of the game. I have a download speed of 3mbps so this would take me til next Christmas to download. Hmmm

You do realise plenty of these 'Amazon Europe' deals start their journeys from depots in say Swansea and Northampton to various destinations across Europe for amazon.de, amazon.fr and amazon.it don't you?
Just like you do know you can order stuff on amazon.co.uk and it actually comes to you from Amazon depots in places like Piacenza Italy and Graben Germany don't you?
And if your gripe is more about hating Amazon rather than hating Europeans it might be of interest to you that lots of items you buy online from retailers like Game and Zavvi start out their journey to Britain from Schiedam and Vlaardingen in Holland.
I know nobody likes a smarty pants, but plenty of folk don't like blissful ignorance either :man:

Wow, talk about patronising assumptions eh? It's the european plug and more complex returns policy that puts people off, not that it's just an irrational fear of buying from other countries, or having a downer on Amazon.
Chasloyal
13 Dec 15#27
No way, not a European plug  I mean it's not like you could just cut it off and attach a three pin UK plug on the cable in like 3 minutes flat is it?
Or take me for instance as a Brit in Europe, most of my electrics are UK three pin and I still buy stuff from Amazon UK that I have shipped out here to Austria too
See there's these wee things called adapters and they only cost a quid or so, you can get UK three pin to Euro two pin for over here but shock of shocks you can also get Euro two pin to UK three pin for back in blighty
Why talk about patronising, when you can get act patronising instead eh? :man:
STUkrugen
14 Dec 15#28
Yes, I'd rather not mess around with changing plugs or using adapters. Why is that YOUR problem all of a sudden? Rather than going off on one, why not politely clarify if you really feel the need to rather than going off on a rant making arrogant assumptions that are completely wide of the mark?
Do you want to clarify how straight forward the Amazon Returns policy for Amazon Europe sales then while you're at it?
Chasloyal
14 Dec 15#29
Very straight forward, I've returned stuff to the States before when amazon.com orders have reached me damaged, mail them a pic of the post office receipt and they refund you the postage costs straight away.
The same goes for anything I've bought from Amazon UK that I had to return to blighty, mail them the pic of the Österreichische Post receipt to prove how much the shipping was and they refund your card instantly.
Global firms have the same policies the world over so amazon.de would do the very same process for you, anything else I can help you with sir? :man:
