You see, clearly you have not got the slightest idea about electrical equipment in the EU, or probably in general. The AC to DC adapter supplied by Microsoft across the EU is the same SKU/Part number for all countries that operate 220-240v mains, the only difference being the lead that runs from the mains socket to the rear AC input of the adapter.
AC to DC is handled inside the adapter, and if there was any risk of fire, it would be equal to that of someone using it in France, Spain, or Romania for that matter.
Again please don't post baseless 'facts' if they are just rumour, speculation or what you personally believe.

I'd be inclined to agree. Plus there is cashback on most of those other Xbox + game deals.
Plus - if you're a Nationwide customer, Argos' deal is £229 plus cashback means you're effectively getting free games! They're also doing an added black controller for £25 (or the white one for £30) when you buy it with the console if you'd like one of them added too.
Uncommon Sense
28 Nov 151#66
Normally I'd completely agree it is over reacting, but if these sort of people continue to just post 'facts' and that puts someone in the position of not buying this deal, and saving them money. Or even worse buying this deal and then spending more than they needed, it defeats the point of this site entirely.
So in this case, I feel that my comment was borderline, but very valid due to the nature of this site.

Great deal. We bought the Amazon Germany deal back in September for £225, it worked fine with the 2 pin plug supplied coupled with an adaptor....for about 3 weeks. One day while hubby was playing there was a pop and it went off. We weren't sure if it was the power brick or the unit so phoned Microsoft who said they would replace the faulty part but we had to figure out which bit was faulty. We don't know anyone with an Xbox one lead to try, Microsoft suggested we may be quicker to contact Amazon as they tend to replace quicker. I emailed Amazon explaining the problem, the next day I got an email saying that they had ordered a replacement to be sent out asap and we need to return the faulty unit and power supply and they will reimburse the postage fees.
Amazing customer service from Amazon Germany! The replacement arrived a few days later, but again with the 2 pin plug which we were wary of using so I messaged microsoft who said that they would exchange the 2 pin plug for a uk version, they sent me pre paid postage labels and once they received the "faulty" one they sent out the correct uk version for free!
All long winded and worrying but cannot fault Microsoft or Amazon Germany and I would definitely buy from them again. Sorry for the essay but thought it may help someone in the future.
