Great deal !

Firstly this will come from whatever warehouse amazon have that is closest to fulfil at the speed of delivery you select.

Secondly, if you buy from Amazon.de the price will change slightly when you get the the checkout as it will increase by 1% as to our VAT rate is 20% rather than Germany's 19%. However it also works the other way, Italy is 22% and Spain is 21% thus it will become cheaper when you checkout.

To avoid exchange rate charges you need a credit card or debit card that doesn't charge foreign transaction charges. As mentioned below a Halifax Clarity card is one, another few that I can think of are Amex Platinum charge card, Post office Mastercard,

The power consumption is the same throughout the EU standard 230v 50Hz.

Warranty - look up money saving expert if you want to understand EU legislation that protects consumers!

I may be missing something here but this deal works out @ £230ish delivered for the Xbox One 1Tb + two downloadable games.

The cheapest standard Xbox One 1Tb with NO games is as follows (on the Euro Amazons):
Amazon UK = £279.99 (€397.30)
Amazon FR = £259.11 (€367.68)
Amazon DE = £225.50 (€319.99)
Amazon ES = £276.25 (€392.00)
The above prices don't include shipping.

Even the Xbox One 1Tb Tomb Raider bundles on the other Euro Amazons are considerably more expensive despite still being priced in Euros:

Amazon FR = £224.80 (€319.00)
Amazon DE = £278.38 (€395.04)
Amazon IT = £267.72 (€379.90)
Amazon ES = £267.08 €379.00
Again, the above prices don't include shipping.

Compare the above prices to the OPs deal which is delivered for £230ish.

I'd say it's the best deal around ATM.

Unless of course I'm missing something.

Sorry I don't support a football club whose supporters sing songs about having parties when old ladies die, that's far more 'keyboard warrior' like than digging you out for getting your basic English mixed up like some latter day Ethel Skinner.

But you probably guessed that right?

Which is why I said "Even second-hand, you CAN get £30+ for it.....APPARENTLY.

FYI, I never once mentioned any CEX plan (nearest one is over 100 miles away and I cannot be arsed posting to them), so that wouldn't even cross my mind. I think you are me getting me mixed up with another poster again?

I have no intention of selling the game and never had.. All I was trying to get across was that taking into consideration the cost of the physical game, the 1TB console is in effect under £200, which by anyone's standards is a bargain.

By comparison, the cheapest I could find the Forza 6 1TB version was approx £275 (Amazon ES) + shipping, which is in effect approx £255 for the console inc shipping. Just picked up Forza 6 for £27 yesterday. I think a saving in the region of £50+ is not to be sniffed at....and I got the colour I wanted.

As for your talk of [email protected][email protected], then I can honestly say that if I was mega desperate I'd buy an Xbox One, then I'd go for the higher price or more likely wait until the black one dropped to the lower price. As you know, I was in no rush to actually buy an Xbox One, which is why I waited a couple of years to buy my first and in all fairness shouldn't have bought it really as it'll probably won't get used that much and just collect dust like the WiiU.

Jeezus, when the Xbox360s came out I preferred the matt finish of the 4GB version over the glossy 250gb, so what did I do? Bought 2 x matt 4GB versions and 2 x official 250GB Xbox360 HDDs. Yeah, it probably cost a little more in the long run, but I got what I preferred.

At the end of the day, I like what I like and you like what you like and there's no getting away from that.

I may even get the Ultimate Xbox One to replace the second Xbox360 when it drops from the heady price of over £400 quid. It's currently around £350 on EU Amazons, but my personal threshold is up to £300. If it doesn't drop that low, it's no biggie, I'll just get another black one when the time is right (when more Xbox360 game are backwards compatible).

I do apologise for any petty insults I threw your way and I can tell you now that that's not how I usually conduct myself on here (or anywhere else for that matter).

Just you attitude got me rattled! Good trolling BTW.

Well mine from the same deal on Amazon.de on Black Friday has arrived today and I am chuffed. Wanted this over the Forza bundle which was the same price at one point because:

1. Black will look right with my other gear
2. The Forza one looks a bit tacky and has daft car noises on boot up.
3. Can sell the two tombraider codes for near £40. End result a 1TB XB1 for under £200, my biting price that I have held off till.

Not quite sure why this thread has dissented into a kick off, these euro 1TB deals have been crackers and much better than the dross over here, enjoy your hotukdeals ;-)

I have no problem embracing miserable barsteward status, why should I? And considering most of us only make three score years and ten I'd say 35 is middle aged and thus anything over 50 is already the autumn of our lives, average age of death statistics back this up by the way :man:

Though if you're so desperate to dig my age out it's 43, oh and unlike so many dinlows out there I stopped kidding myself that I was still young from the moment I turned 25 so perhaps that chip on my shoulder is called reality eh?

As for elitist? Erm being Millwall I'm obviously illiterate untravelled council estate residing white chav vermin so I'm sorry big fail there, try again poppet.

Spare me the Freudian nonsense please, I might have got lobbed out of school before I even reached 16 but I'm not that intellectually challenged to rise to amateur reverse psychology. Laugh as much as you want but when you look at why I have pondered it was you it might make a wee bit more sense.

Why would I have a problem in apologising about anything, please explain how I have to be "man enough" to say I was wrong to a few words some random stranger types on the interweb?

Anyway here's a screen capture of the bunny that was going on in my Courvoisier thread last night and a link to it too. I think it's quite clear why I might suspect it had something to do with this thread, if not then it's someone who is more than happy to play along with it giving that impression don't you think?

"WRONG WRONG WRONG" hmmmm so are you claiming if the plain black Xbone was 300 quid on Amazon UK and the blue one was 200 quid on Amazon France you'd stick with that consistency in your lounge line and pay a one'r more, really, after admitting it 's all about the bread?

Hope you noticed I've refrained from lobbing direct personal insults about there  can you say the same?

Please show me where I have denied trolling anything, where's the evidence then?

Please show me where I have suggested that a coloured Xbone is technically superior to a black one, have you got any proof I ever said anything even remotely like that then?

Oh and you know your CEX plan? I know from when the Juniors Loyal have been over here when they've took games home and tried to trade them on there they been knocked back because of being in foreign cases. Of course it can be worked round but it means you'll have to hoist a dud case off the shelf in a British shop and put the game disc in that to palm it off to them, enjoy

Seriously, you have lost me already!

It's always about the bread. Who said it wasn't? Why do you think most of the visitors to HUKD are here?
It is to get the best bang for your buck! Who doesn't want the right product at the best price?

The black 1TB model was the right system and sub £200 was the right price.

The sub £200 price for the 'Xbox One 1TB' is derived from taking actual cost of a stand-alone copy of 'Fallout 4' into account:
Amazon FR €44.90 (£31.70)
Amazon DE €45.90 (32.40)
Amazon ES €56.90 (£40.17)
Amazon UK €56.63 (£39.99)
Amazon IT €69.98 (£49.41)
MediaMarkt €50.00) (£35.29)

Even second-hand, you can get £30+ for it.....apparently.

Just answer one thing though...........how is the Halo or Forza models any better? Yes, they are different, but they are not better. I just like consistency in my lounge.

If one of the kids expressed a preference for the Halo/Forza model, then fair enough.

You do realise you are trolling on the 'HUKD' (Hot UK Deals) website, don't you?

To be fair, in this case, this deal isn't in literal terms a 'HUKD', but in actual fact a 'HFD' (Hot French Deals), but WGAF? It was still a valid deal posted on a UK website.

You rest what you like, you muppet, but you are WRONG WRONG WRONG once again and getting very boring.[/quote]

Ahhh, now you make sense and in hindsight, I should have read the whole message before starting to reply, but ho-hum.

But regarding your 'Cognac Tread'! I can honestly say I have no idea what you are talking (or should that be typing) about.

I should really be flattered that you think I'd follow you around HUKD, but alas, that was not me I'll accept your apology any time.

But you wouldn't be man enough for that, would you?

In actuality, I find it laughable that you think yourself that important, that someone would follow you around, let alone me. I can safely say that would never happen, ever!

Something you'd do perhaps?

You do come across as a grumpy, elitist 50+ geezer with a chip on your shoulder and I do hope that is the case.

If you are any younger than that, then gawd help all of us if you do reach middle-age and are still frequenting public internet forums/message boards as you are going to be an even grumpier, right miserable old barsteward (if that's even possible).

I ended up going for the Fallout 4 bundle but decided not to bother with 'Star Wars - Battle Front' or 'Forza 6' as I'd originally intended. From what I gathered, 'SW-BF' is online play only and 'Forza 6 was a 5'-6 week wait time at the time of ordering.

I did however receive the €10 discount on my next purchase today but it would seem that it's only for DVDs, Blu-ray or TV.

Sweet deal indeed!

I missed the 'ROTTR' bundle after umming, arrrghing and faffing around, so ended up opting for the 'Fallout 4' bundle with 'Star Wars - Battlefront' and 'Forza 6'

I was a bit disappointed to discover after placing the order that that the estimated delivery date was going to be December 17th-29th for the console and 'Star Wars - Battlefront' and 4-6 weeks for 'Forza 6' and subsequently cancelled it.

I then said "to hell with it " and re-ordered it along with 'Star Wars - Battlefront only which was still showing an estimated delivery date of December 17th-29th.

Anyhow, I just received an email from Amazon.fr to say that there's a new delivery estimate of December 4th - 7th.

Whoohoo, I say!

Was the 10 Euro only offered with the 'ROTTR' bundle, do you know Joeypg?

Firstly I have seen your many Sony fanboys comments and that is the only reason you are posting here is because the game is Xbox One exclusive for a year before it comes out on your console.

Other UK sales let's see ah yes PS4 exclusive "Bloodbourne" "only" sold 41,421 the first week and PS4 exclusive "The order 1886" "only" sold 37,000 the first week and neither had to compete against any major releases from other company's.

MS know exactly what they are doing and having bragging rights to more AAA exclusives than the competition at this time of year is more important than separate sales of Tomb Raider as that is what sells consoles, why do you think they chose to release the game the same time as the four biggest titles of the year Fallout 4, Halo 5 , COD black ops 3 and Star wars ? Instead of waiting they have used Tomb Raider exactly as they probably planned since day one.

Tomb Raider will sell plenty over the coming months and then it will also release on the PC in the spring, it doesn't release until 28 December 2016 on PS4 and as you know by then it will be almost gone and forgotten and everyone will have moved on, hopefully MS will release it as a free games with gold title on that same December next year just to rub it in the fanboys noses.

TBH, I thought about getting a XB1 on release, but couldn't justify it due to still having 2 x Xbox360s and around 75 games in the house and that I never really got the time to play as much as I'd have liked.

No 'kin clue what that means, but it obviously means something to you, so OK.

WTF are you on and what are you yapping on about? I personally couldn't care less which side of the fence you were/are/will be on at any given time.

Again, WTF are you on? The soundbar is a simple upgrade to the tinny TV speakers which is good enough for most mortals.

I had a simple surround sound systems hooked up to a Yamaha receiver (not in your league of course) years ago, but it was too much faff and decided to get something simpler and more wife friendly.

Yes, you are guessing and you are as far from correct as you could be, so scurry on! In all honesty, I cannot be bothered arguing about whose is better. So you've had TWO years to get a black Xbox One yet you've only got round to buying it now? Erm ok scratcher

At least my excuse is I decided to boycott Xbox this gen because of that Z hobbit Mattrick running his mouth off at E3 a couple of years ago. I have finally gone back on my initial stance after a combination of being won over by the straight talking enthusiasm of Major Nelson and feeling rather disenchanted with Sony's lack of running with the ball seeing it's been firmly in their hands since the off.

Feel free to call me a Judas, insincere, lacking in ethics or whatever but two years after saying "no never" I am indeed saying "yes" now hohum hang your head in shame sly Chas

I myself sat back on the PS4 for a few months rather than jump on board Day One, getting the Infamous bundle when it launched around March last year, upgraded to the silver Batman edition PS4 this summer and lobbed a 2 TB plate in it too as I reckoned that would be me till PS5/the next Xbox in 2017-2018 but I was wrong eh.

Funnily enough I've also got a Black telly and a black Wii U and even a charcoal receiver(most Arcams are grey you see) but not the sound bar, I like my home entertainment sounds to be of a high fidelity quality as they were intended.

You were actually doing so well till you mentioned that soundbar, then every speck of the credibility you'd built up just evaporated in a puff of smoke, poor wee lamb :smirk:

I'm now guessing you're also one of them who'll argue with anyone that your Denon or Teac micro abortion with £80 Coke can midget speakers sounds every bit as good as high end separates with proper quality floor standers that cost five times more do, right?

If you're not I'll take that back and scurry off with my tail between my legs but the mere mention of soundbars stinks of laziness and a lack of even the most basic audiophile instinct but horses for courses n all that.

Have a wonderful festive period and I trust that frozen Vietnamese crown of turkey and those microwave spuds n sprouts you got sorted from Farm Foods will be every bit as exciting and satisfying for you as your shiny new black Xbone is.

Ding dong merrily on high

I lobbed in why buy a pony black one that was available on day one a couple of years ago when you can get the two tone Halo console with the steelbook, the collectible figure and all the extra DLC included for 60 quid more, it's quite straight forward thinking really.

So I'm sorry it's you who has chosen to drone on about that Fallout pack Beryl. I can see why you've got the name you have now, it would also explain why you can't even secure a credit card from monkey NewDay to make those foreign spends more economical.

lol, so what? You were prattling on about MediaMarkt, who do not ship to the UK, not amazon.de, who clearly do.

And why are you linking to some garish Halo bundle for €425? The bundle being discussed here was 1TB Xbox One + Fallout 4 & 3. You conveniently forgot to mention that it's available on amazon.de for €409.90, making it £10 more expensive than from Game UK. Yeah, great idea buying from Germany!

So you bang on about ordering from some company which doesn't ship to the UK, and when someone points that out to you, your response to post a link to a different company in the same country selling a completely different product?

Are you bait and switch trolling, or just thick?

Sorry but I'm sure my initial post was about the LIMITED EDITION HALO 5 XBOX ONE, please watch the video I've left a link for........

Well Amazon Deutschland do deliver to the UK and they got it up for €425 too, so wind your neck in Beryl.

Oh and if you can't acquire a card that don't charge foreign transaction fees that's your problem, not mine. I'm sorry but even scratchers 'r us NewDay do an Aqua Mastercard with zero charges on foreign spends nowadays.

More like £245 + whatever foreign currency transaction fee your bank will slap you with unless you are one of the few with a card that doesn't charge for it.

They don't to ship to the UK though so I'm not sure why you're even banging on about Media Markt.

It's gone by the looks of things, that PS4 went live at midnight CET SO 11pm UK time yesterday. I am assuming it's sold out or the deal has ended as it was a one day special.

MediaMarkt do blinding deals so it's well worth keeping an eye on their site regularly, the nearest high street branch as such is Hoek. So if you're anywhere near the Costa del Essex you can get the boat over from Harwich on a cheap day trip to do a click and collect run if you buy a load of gear ;-)

How about a bog standard black model with Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 lobbed in for 240 quid?

http://www.mediamarkt.at/de/product/_microsoft-xbox-one-konsole-limited-edition-1-tb-bundle-fallout-4-fallout-3-dlc--1448645.html

Anyway you should track back to my original post though, you know the bit where I pondered.......

"So I struggle to see why there's a big fuss about a bog standard black Xbone Tomb Raider pack that was going for under 250 quid on Amazon UK the other day anyway #justsaying"

I made a point of stipulating the HALO limited edition Xbone, you know the nice two tone one, with a proper tidy limited edition controller and steelbook in the bundle too?

If you want a plain two bob boring black one with nothing special about it then go for it, if you want something that bit more lively it will cost you a few bob more.

I don't want a tear up about it, you won't get that Halo Xbone anywhere in the UK for the price MediaMarkt Deutschland have got it up for right now, that's what my post was about so deal with it eh

29 Nov 15 #99
Ok then.... show me another deal where you 'effectively' get the 1TB for less than £200 right now??

@# 87. You may not need an adaptor plug as Amazon often ship from the nearest distribution centre, which may well be somewhere in the UK. Wait and see......

29 Nov 15 #98
What's the actual differences between these and the UK one?

Reason I ask is I do really want an XB1 but I'm not a massive gamer so could well end up selling it if it doesn't get much use but don't want to have problems selling it if so.
Chasloyal
29 Nov 15 #97
Nothing to thank me mate, I am on the continent a lot and I know MediaMarkt ship between countries where they have operations in mainland Europe. Like you can order off MediaMarkt Austria from Holland and they'll deliver to you but hands up I don't know for certain if they ship to the UK, I am assuming they do
joeypg
29 Nov 15 1 #92
Ok. So that's an 1TB version for ~£300 (before delivery) - Indeed you can get cheaper than that in the UK atm.
Another way of looking at this deal is if you subtract the cost of the game(s) then you get a 1TB for less than £200!!
Don't think you'll get a much better deal this side of Xmas??

Chasloyal to joeypg
29 Nov 15 #96
30 seconds of research says the Halo limited edition Xbone is £399 on Amazon UK and £399.99 on Game UK but if you want a boring black one then course you can get one for loads less.

You can get the blue Forza for under 300 quid on Amazon which is pucka but you won't find the Halo one at that dough.

Sorry you don't like that but it is what it is #justsaying

The longer you wait the cheaper it will get. Like when there was the 960GB SSD for £150. Sure, it would be nice, but I don't need a 960GB SSD right now, and by the time I do, it will probably be £120. Plus all the games get cheaper too.

The image below is of an Xbox One PSU found on XBOX site:

The plug on the PSU end of the cable probably has only two pins (as my Xbox360 one does), but a cable with the third pin in the PSU end of the cable should be fine.

Basically, it's just be a regular LCD TV or kettle plug.

I used my Halifax Clarity card to purchase some Lego Dimensions items from Amazon DE and Amazon still did the conversion, which cost a little more than it should have done.

Ripperoo
29 Nov 15 4 #73
I may be missing something here but this deal works out @ £230ish delivered for the Xbox One 1Tb + two downloadable games.

The cheapest standard Xbox One 1Tb with NO games is as follows (on the Euro Amazons):
Amazon UK = £279.99 (€397.30)
Amazon FR = £259.11 (€367.68)
Amazon DE = £225.50 (€319.99)
Amazon ES = £276.25 (€392.00)
The above prices don't include shipping.

Even the Xbox One 1Tb Tomb Raider bundles on the other Euro Amazons are considerably more expensive despite still being priced in Euros:

Amazon FR = £224.80 (€319.00)
Amazon DE = £278.38 (€395.04)
Amazon IT = £267.72 (€379.90)
Amazon ES = £267.08 €379.00
Again, the above prices don't include shipping.

Compare the above prices to the OPs deal which is delivered for £230ish.

I'd say it's the best deal around ATM.

Unless of course I'm missing something.

If its purely for Tomb Raider and no other games, I'd say give it a miss - not because Tomb raider isnt good (because it is decent) but £200 just for one game that, like you say, you'll be able to get on PC for about £15-£20 (cdkeys - watch this space) - Don't think its worth it imo.

Im after an X1 as well but I've got gears, the halo's, forza's, that rare replay and tomb raider bought to keep me entertained.

Hmm...not bad. Depends if you want the games. The older Tomb Raider game you are most likely not going to play since it also comes with the newer one... they are both digital downloads so are worthless in resale value. So really this is a 1TB console for £240. Pretty good, but you could pay £279 in the UK for a 1TB with your choice of game which will be a physical disc, plus you will have UK warranty. It seems not worth the £39 saving to me.

Hi Turkey, I do normally always take it to checkout, but it is a well known fat that people get different prices based on what card they use, whether they pay in euros or sterling or a mixture of both. I just try to help people, I don't really care about the heat to be honest, yes it is nice if a deal goes "super hot" subsequently meaning you have helped a oot of people, but there are far more important things in life than just a number next to a deal.

29 Nov 15 1 #38
Mikavelli - I believe if you select to pay in Euros and have a currency card like Halifax Clarity you will pay the rate of conversion now (which will be cheaper). Other cards will apply their own exchange rates but may apply a currency transfer fee (need to check with your card provider). If you select to pay in GBP, Amazon will apply their own exchange rate which will probably cost more!!

I'm so close to biting on this one but just want to make sure I know what I'm doing. The way I see it the only negatives are shipping back to the original country if anything should go wrong and swapping out the euro plug for a UK kettle lead.

Can anyone tell me if that's it please? Or is there anything else? ...will downloading the bundled games be just same as UK?
EnTwined to Padgio
29 Nov 15 1 #30
I'd like to know these things to, one person says one thing & a nether says something else. You got people saying it's no different then buying from uk, the warranty is the same & Microsoft xbox support in the UK will deal with any issues. Then you got people saying the warranty isn't valid in the UK & your only option is sending back to France at your own cost, even in that case you got people saying different & that they in fact pay for returned shipping cost.

Some goes for the plug, no one seems to agree with each other. "It's a simple kettle plug" "No you got to get use a converter" or buy a UK power brick even.

The way I see it is if your buying from Amazon then with their great customer service you can't go much wrong if you did have an issue & needed to return it, I don't believe it would be at your own cost. I'm just going by how I know them to operate & I don't think that changes if you buy from their EU sites.

With the plug I don't see any reason why you can't just swap it with a UK kettle plug. I haven't seen anyone explain why you shouldn't do this.

1. Is there an amazon English translation of the site? I don't understand a word of French..

3. What's the warranty?

4. I'm curious of others opinions.. do y'all think the xbox one 1tb will hit £230 +game by the holidays in the UK? It's a birthday gift for my nephew..
