100% don't listen to anyone on here, its full of fanboys. The best and UNBIAS advice I can give is this:
- If you want to play your mates, get the SAME console as them... end of!!
- If you're not bothered about online (which would be mad as its a hell of a lot of fun!), google the exclusives and see what games you'd want to play more.
- If none of the above apply, flip a coin
Don't listen to the fanboys droning on about frames per second and resolution, it really does mean jack diddly, these things are games machines meant for FUN, do yourself a favour and make you mind up, then get stuck in

Excellent deal just bought one. Total price including delivery to UK by Thursday 17th Dec was only £227 (paid 313 Euros on credit card that doesn't charge exchange fees). Bearing in mind the Tomb Raider game costs about £40, that means the 1TB console was about £185!. Also, spoke to Amazon in France and they confirmed delivery to UK is not a problem and the T + C are just the same as any Amazon UK purchase.

Arguably the Xbox has a stronger exclusive line up.
Xbox one is backwards compatible with some 360 games.. going forward more games will be supported.
Xbox live can be cheaper. (You now require a sub to play online on the PS4)
Games for Gold has caught up and some would argue that it has surpassed PS+'s free games.
The PS4 had a great start due to a combination of having better hardware, a cheaper price and Microsoft committing PR suicide.

Yeah always get a lower price because I use the fee free card & pay in euros. Changed it as the majority do not have it and would be misleading

This is an honest question from someone who no longer games.
I had a 360 which i was addicted to (COD 3&4), my online gaming then dropped off. I sold the 360 (due to subscription) and bought a PS3. The PS3 has hardly been touched for 2 years. I found the PS quite a cold gaming experience but in the latest gen console war the PS4 seems to have annihilated the XBOX.
Some friends (who also drifted away) are contemplating a PS4.
What are the benefits of a XBONE? Im absolutely not a fanboy of either platform, infact i have never picked up a controller of either console.
I am curious about learning something without it descending into petty squabbles.
Thanks in advance.

Compare the games coming next year looks to me like the ps4 has the better games coming - comparing the machines it's easy to see why the ps4 is smashing it

Neither is right nor wrong.
It's entirely down to personal preference. I prefer the Xbox controller over the PS4. But some of my family and friends prefer the PS4. Also MS seem to be a little ahead on the backwards compatability (but this can change). Neither is wrong, we are allowed to be different
I would look at which controller you enjoy most and what exclusive games you would prefer playing. Also as someone said, if you're going to play online it's worth looking to get what your friends have. I'm sure you would enjoy either as they both are decent with great games.

Just as additional confirmation (as there didn't seem to be a great deal of confidence on this in some of the earlier French XBOne threads); I bought one recently and have it running just fine on a standard 3 pin UK kettle lead. Earth is not connected on the XBOne PSU but the neutral and live pins are spaced exactly the same, so you can indeed swap in kettle leads from any 220-240v region.

Yes, it is a good deal, but not as good a deal as the previous Fallout deal, no headset and 2 dlc games instead of the 1 dlc and 1 physical copy of the fallout 4 game, the physical copy could have been resold on completion to make the bundle even cheaper as well as the headset if not needed!!!

Cracking deal. This is initially the deal I wanted but I bought this package + black ops 3, wolfenstein and the evil within last week from amazon france. To anyone worried about plugs, just buy a UK kettle lead 2 pin version, mines works perfect. but as someone mentioned you can use a 3 pin as well.

I recently ordered two Xbox One consoles and they came from France via UPS. As did the pile of 'Disney Infinity 3.0' characters I ordered from the French site.
On the other hand, I ordered a load of 'Lego Dimension' characters over three different orders from the German Amazon and they were shipped from UK warehouses.
I'm guessing here , but when purchasing from the 'Euramazons', maybe it depends on UK stock levels as to whether your items are despatched from UK warehouses or from the country you purchased from.

What a dumb comment from a fanboy. Are you 13?
I have both consoles. Both have their positives and negatives. Neither is a bad console. Neither beats the other outright. XB1 is slightly cheaper to buy, Gold is invariably cheaper most times during the year and (recent) backwards compatibility is a bonus. I prefer the XB1 controller, the rest of my family prefer the PS4. Both get similar sort of play time in my house. I have had more difficulty connecting to PSN than live, particularly earlier in the year. Seems to be pretty even recently.

The PS4 has a brighter future, it's outselling the XB1 at an alarming rate, has a better user base and also has a much better upcoming library. If I was to buy next gen, I'd choose the PS4.

If you want to dredge things up from so long ago, who can forget the Sony CD rootkit that installed secret control mechanisms on your pc, or the incredibly slow sales figures when PS3 first released, or the video playback control software that came as standard on every ps3 that stopped you playing any video file it decided you shouldn't be (cidia, was it?)...
Neither company really has a glowing past.

Sorry but what are you on about?!?! I had the original Xbox and don't remember it being dropped at all, it merely came to the end of its life?!?!? As for the " install base/secure future angle", you are aware that the Xbone has shipped MILLIONS of units and is backed by one of the biggest, and highly profitable companies in the world aren't you?!? The way you're talking you'd think they'd sold 1 unit!!! BOTH are safe, BOTH are great, BOTH have advantages and disadvantages.... end of!
