I can't quite believe this! Infact I've had to check the prices three times to see if I'm right!
Two weeks for £156.11pp in the school holidays in August for flights, apartment and transfers.....
Flying with Norweigan from LGW to Gran Canaria with great flight times 17th-31st August (hold luggage extra so add this on extra if you need more). I've chosen the 4/5 Tripadvisor rated Duna Beach Bungalows in Maspalomas and Transfers with Hoppa.com
You don't have to stay here you can choose other hotels and Alpharooms have a good selection to go for. I've not been to Gran Canaria but others may be able to give opinion on resorts and areas to stay etc....
I'd strongly recommend booking the flights first before they go.

Good deal although Duna Beach bungalows had no entertainment at all when we went years ago which was bearable for us adults but the kids were bored stiff (might have changed now??). Maspalomas is a nice little place though and only a short trip away from the lively resorts of Playa Del Ingles and Peurto Rico!

Thanks that is helpful info for people. I'd read there is a shuttle bus but I don't know where it goes to and if it is free?
There was another hotel in Puerto Rica called Apartmentos Miriam and if you use the 12% code on here you could get that for just undrr £260 if that is better....Look Here

I stayed 2 weeks in maspalomas in some bungalows (not too sure what they were called now) and it was cockroach heaven!! Never again no matter how cheap!!!

My first holiday abroad was to Fuerteventura and that was cockroach heaven. It put me of going abroad for 5 years and *touches wood* I've never seen one since and have travelled alot since... I tried to cure my fear at Chester Zoo but I had a panic attack!!

Haven't heard of them but Puerto Rico has a lot more to offer, although everywhere in Gran Canaria is lovely. If I was booking a family holiday for next year i'd definitely choose this!

sadly the flight price has sky rocketed - family of 5 was around £1300 mark. this was after i clicked Confirm on the booking details page.

all of Norwegian return flights from the canary islands have sky rocketed. me thinks a big mess up has gone on

Damn that was quick! I didn't book it but I was able to get to the final screen where it asked for payment so perhaps they fixed it.... Now gone :-(
