Wolfenstein®: The New OrderTM reignites the series that created the first-person shooter genre. Under development at Machine Games, a studio comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognized for their work creating story-driven games, Wolfenstein offers a deep game narrative packed with action, adventure and first-person combat.
Intense, cinematic and rendered in stunning detail with id® Software’s id Tech® 5 engine, Wolfenstein sends players across Europe on a personal mission to bring down the Nazi war machine. With the help of a small group of resistance fighters, infiltrate their most heavily guarded facilities, battle high-tech Nazi legions, and take control of super-weapons that have conquered the earth – and beyond.
Armed with a mysterious advanced technology, the Nazi’s unrelenting force and intimidation brought even the most powerful nations to their knees. Awakened from a 14-year coma to a world changed forever, war hero B.J. Blazkowicz emerges into this unimaginable alternate version of the 1960s. One in which the monstrous Nazi regime has won World War II, and now rule the globe with an iron fist. You are B.J. Blazkowicz, the American war hero, and the only man capable of rewriting history.

Borderless windows solve a lot of the issues with most games I've found, always worth a try especially as it doesn't actually effect the screen at all (if you're running at native res it just looks as if its full screen anyway).

And if a game doesn't have a borderless window mode, put your game into windowed mode and use "Windowed Borderless Gaming." Works a treat

yes i read borderless window may be the way to go, which is good cause i can still use gsync if that resolves the issue.

you could try borderless windowed mode and play with the nvidia control panel settings?

ah i see, i do remember reading that some settings (from memory something to do with shadows) can tank performance regardless of hardware, i'll work on it some more to see if i can get some acceptable results.

I think I haven't worded it right. What I meant was to try 720p and low settings to see if the stuttering stops. If it does, slowly bump up the settings (do resolution first, then graphics settings). If you turn on one of the settings (e.g. turning depth of field) and it starts stuttering, you know which settings to avoid.

i have a gsync monitor which overrides any other vsync settings, i will try turn it off and do your suggested tips. i certainly wont be turning down to 720p and low settings on a £500 GPU with 6gb of vram! thanks for the tips

can anyone help me with this one, this game does not run smoothly for me (4790k/980ti) regardless of whether i cap the fps to 60 or unlock it to 144 when turning the camera there's a very noticable judder, my fps counter is a rock solid 60 but the stuttering prevails. no fixes on the internet seem to help, super annoying, i want to play this but this issue is making the game pretty much unplayable.

Have you tried turning off vsync? I had the same problem, and I ended up turning off in-game vsync, then forcing vsync and triple buffering through the nvidia control panel (download it if you haven't already got it). Hope this helps
Btw, if that doesn't work, try playing the game 720p with no vsync, and all low settings. The gameplay should be smooth with frame tears. If it doesn't stutter anymore, one of the graphics settings might be causing the stutter.

Just about to post. Good deal considering the Steam sale price. I think you may have to register with them in order to see/purchase the VIP section?

Yes you have to log in as mentioned :stuck_out_tongue:
Although I forgot to mention that you won't be able to use the 20% off code to lower the price any further, the VIP deals are all excluded from that offer.
