BA currently have a massive sale on Club Europe (Business Class) winter holiday breaks. I know this isn't for everyone, but if you want to try the Club Europe offering it's a lot cheaper than it would normally be.
Standard fares to Malta are £134 each way with BA Club Europe (£268), so this is a great deal comparatively. Also note that you will accrue a reasonable sum of air miles (relative to the price you're paying). Tier points on this route are very generous as well - 80TP each way, 160TP return.
There are lots of other destinations on offer too - just use the BA holiday finder to investigate. Other Malta options as well, I just picked out the best value. For example, 4 nights in the 5* Malta Hilton is £259pp with flights.
Flights are from London Gatwick (LGW), and for the 7 night stay depart on 10th Dec - 17th Dec. Other dates are available, eg. if you want the 5* Hilton for 4 nights you can go on 14th Dec - 18th Dec.
➔ I picked out Malta specifically as it is one of the furthest places in the offer, yet not any more expensive than the other holidays offered. Also, as I already mentioned, you'll get a good few air miles and tier points - useful if you need to get a few for the next tier. Current weather forecast for the period looks about 16-18C.
-----
Air miles update: It seems you'll get 1922 Avios each way (or more if you are in BA Bronze/Silver/Gold with the respective 25/50/100% bonuses). With the extra 842 Avios that you get for the holiday package... That equates to 4686 Avios + 160TP (tier points).

I flew Club back from Berlin on the 0700 and the purser happily kept me topped up with a fresh champagne 1/4 bottle. Think I got through 3 of them! Made for a long day when I got to the office!
Unhappybunny, check out ITA Matrix and find an ex-EU in Club to get yourself up to Silver. I'm about to book Club to BKK starting from AMS for £1200. Bargain!

Silver would be good for me as I have a couple of UK Domestic flights booked in the spring whereby I would be entitled to lounge access if I was Silver.. but I don't think I could justify it just for this. Also don't really have the time to go jetting off via Amsterdam, though AIUI it can prove a VERY cheap way of getting tier points and avois up, for little price !

Basically I have a flight booked in Feb for four of us in Business.. We want to sit together (2 and 2 on either side)... And being bronze I get to choose the seats 7 days before to ensure we get this selection rather than waiting the 24 hours before to get the crap.. So bronze will be certainly be worth it for me for this.

Yeah I know.. But never flown so early so don't want them to think I am a p*** head !! Lol
It's really handy that we booked the Hilton at Gatwick for the night before, so we can check in the luggage the evening before then go straight to the lounge in the morning.

OK So gone for it.. 4 nights in the Malta Sunshine
All Inclusive. Business class flights. Private Transfers & even a Hilton Gatwick Airport hotel for the night (early morning flight).... £320 each...bargain !

They always have champagne on board for Club Europe, but you'll have to ask for it :innocent:

To The OP: Do you definitely get 160 TP? As I only need 150 for Bronze which I really need to get by late Jan/Feb. I can't see where it tells me how many TP I will earn.
PS this is for Malta 4 nights from the 14th?

Yup, Malta earns 80 Tier Points each way. And 1922 Avios.
I would note that if you are doing it on impulse to get the TPs, I definitely wouldn't consider Bronze tier worth it. The benefits are rarely upheld (bar the online seat booking benefits), and it is often only Silver and Gold that get to use the check in queues and priority boarding.

Fantastic deal. Flew Club Europe to Warsaw a few days ago and it was a really decent product.

Definitely worth it for this price. I think it has been overly criticised by the majority - it's not trying to be a long haul business product, or even on the same level as first class US domestic. European flights are short and so anything to make it more relaxing and easier is a bonus.

LGW made better by the Club Europe benefits :stuck_out_tongue: It doesn't compare to long haul business class, but it makes the whole travelling experience a lot smoother.

they are joke in terms of reliability (arriving on time/at all), but you can't beat whole day ticket for 1.50 euro.

Super deals. Wish I had time off work to go! Malta is a great length of flight to enjoy Club and have some bubbly. Try to get a few hours at the airport and enjoy the lounge though LHR lounge experience is nicer than LGW. Tip: In the lounge they don't have champagne on display but ask the hostess and he/she will bring you some fresh from the kitchen.
