Mine arrived today (the wonders of Amazon Prime :stuck_out_tongue:) and I have to say, I'm bloody impressed for £100. Honestly, I can't see myself buying a super-high end phone ever again, they just don't have enough extra going for them these days to justify their ~5x higher price when compared to this little (okay, big...) beast.
I bought an unlock code off eBay for £2.25, which worked perfectly and the phone is now happily running on other networks. I'll have a look at installing the new 5.1.1 update tomorrow :smiley:.
For anyone that's interested, it looks like Vodafone have started rolling out an official Android 5.1 update for the Smart Ultra 6. It's just become available in Turkey and I guess if this works out okay, we will see it become available in the UK. Here's the link...
Good to know Vodafone are looking after their Turkish customers. Important markets like Azerbaijan will no doubt be next for the update. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good phone, not perfect though. A bit laggy, sometimes overheats to the level it crashes, rather average camera, you will also need screen protector and case cover. Definitely worth the money asked but spending more would get you a better phone :smiley:

why bother putting a £100 phone in a case and screen protector? A top of the range handset that has cost £££ or one that's tied to a 2yr contract sure, that I can understand as you'd want to protect your investment. But on a phone at this price point? It's certainly not a necessity as you're suggesting.
Haven't got either on mine and it's been fine despite being dropped several times. It's a very robust (plastic..) device.

I was talking to some some of the helpline people and allegedly it will be getting the 6.0 update.

It's possible that it could be updated to Android 6.0, but I wouldn't count on it.
Vodafone have a poor track record with version upgrades on their own-brand phones. They do push out security updates (like fixing the stage fight bug), but not feature updates.

Cheers, bought one via your other thread. I've been waiting for them to go back down £100 since their unfortunate price increase on VF's website the other day. I guess good things come to those who wait, I'd much rather deal with Amazon than VF :smiley:.
