Just been to buy this phone and expected to pay £115 but told at counter price had just been reduced to £100. (No top-up bought as told them was already on Vodafone) This was Eldon Square Newcastle but not sure if nationally. (Also told the lower spec. smaller Smart phone was reduced but can't remember to what)

I just called my local store and they said its £115 +£10 top up, I also called in to a couple of stores and it was £115 with the mandatory £10 top up, no negotiation on the top up either.

Anyone had any grief unlocking this handset?
Unlock code provided on Ebay doesn't work. Handset was picked up yesterday, inserted Three sim, entered unlock code and get told it's incorrect. It was upgraded to 5.1.1 before attempting the unlock.

For reference the 5.1 update killed Sky Sports Mobile TV but an update to the app last night fixed mine, so ensure you have the latest version of the app. This is still an amazing phone for the money.
PS in my local Vodafone store at 5pm last night it wasn't priced up but when I asked the guy in there he said it would be £115...weird

Just a heads up that Voda are Xmas gouging on this phone now.
Just returned from a trip to their North Wales Llandudno store to pick one up. The 100 quid would have been a bonus, but I was happy to pay the going price of £115.
When one was fetched from the stockroom, they refused to sell it to me as "the computer" scanned it at £150 + additional £10 topup, for a total price of £160. I informed the manager I wasn't happy about that and showed the website advertising it for £115 right there and then on my mobile and also pointed to the same phone, on the shelf 2 feet away from me for - yep, £115 on the price card.
I was given a lame excuse about prices being updated and this wasn't supposed to happen till tomorrow, but because it was close to 5pm it had gone through on the system early. To this I replied, "so this phone, which till this point in time has been 115 quid, goes up to £160, on Xmas Eve?". The Manager, completely unfazed stood there nodding. "Do you not think that's bit unethical and obvious price-gouging for Xmas sales? Aren't you obliged to sell the item at the price advertised both online and in-store at this point in time? Your computer system and the price it says is not my problem, you should honour your advertised price".
Wouldn't budge. Absolutely shameless.
Ordered it online as soon as I got home for 115 for in-store delivery. Going to be having strong words with the manager when I go pick it up and getting in touch with their regional manager after Xmas. Apalling behaviour.

Just a mention, in the last few days, I've seen this phone at £75 (today oos) and the lower spec First for £25, both at Alphington Road Sainsbury's in Exeter.
You sure, can see the Smart Prime at £75 but the Ultra is showing at £115?

If you have a relative on voda you could say it's a present for them and give voda their number, they'll *probably* let you off the top-up.

£115 in Falkirk. They wouldn't budge on the £10 required top-up, so effectively £125. Will just order from Amazon when it's next in stock.

Buy online from Vodafone store and choose existing sim. Either have it delivered or collect from local store. £115 online and you don't have to buy top up.
Collect from store and tell the sales assistant who wouldn't budge you bought online without top up.

What's the vibrate like on these? Haven't had a phone with a decent vibrate that I could actually feel in my pocket since before smart phone days.
Argos one is 5" screen with Android MiFavor 3.0 UI operating system.
Vodafone is 5.5" screen with Android 5.1 so Ultra 6 much better

I got this phone about 8 weeks ago to test out signal on Vodafone. Cracking piece of kit for the money. Defo worth a punt as you get so much bang for your buck. Sadly though i will be selling it as ive had enough of Android.

It changed literally as I stood there 3pm ish. I have posted the receipt above but not sure if it shows as it keeps changing to a hyperlink to the Vodafone website. I have no reason to lie and thought it might be useful to someone. I bought as thought 115 was a good deal but at the till, even happier with the result. The girl serving was also surprised with this as well as the lower price on the smaller version. Given her surprise, it may well change later in the system/on website.

honestly such a great phone, only let down is the camera, but even then it isn't that bad, I sold my G3 due to poor battery life, this gives me between 6-7 hours screen on time everyday, whereas my G3 with the same amount of battery gave me 3-4 hours.
cant fault the phone 1 bit

For those that say cheap phone, not Android 6.0, dodgy software implementation...
I have a Nexus 7 fully updated to 6.0.1. It refuses point blank to play the little video clips on the BBC News website and won't load Facebook messages from certain people (v weird!). So I pick up my Smart Ultra 6 and it does both things instantly and flawlessly. Hoorah for Vodafone!
