You should probably just do that anyway tbh. I think I've switched mine on about 4 times this year.

It's near on impossible to fake these cards, that's why the prices are kept artificially high. Only Sony can manufacture the technology.

The ones on sites like DX etc are actually Japanese imports because the memory cards for Vita are usually cheapest in Japan.

This is definitely not enough space. Don't do it! Get a 64gig one or you'll regret it very quickly! My 32gig card filled up fast. It's still a great investment but I wish the 64 had been available when I bought mine.

I bought a PS TV (silly me) the other week then realised needed memory then realised again sony had there own brand of overly expensive memory cards that are needed to do anything on them (way to pull a Nintendo on me Sony) this is a good price, unless they decide to drop the prices on these soon as they have discontinued all work on Vita etc this is the best price at the moment.

I seen on ebay either a 16bg or 32gb mem card for £16, i was dubious at first but went to buy because of sellers good rep and they were all sold out.
