Found a funny way to get more out this deal..anyone who booked this..if you want an extra night at the £20 rate just email the hotel and ssay you booked 2 nights aty £20 and you dont know why it hasn't come through like that..I did that for watford and they give me the next night for £17 hehe :P blamed it on their craappy IT team and site..so got two nights for £37 in London watford on a friday-sunday hehe

What a crock of crap. I booked 5 hotels at £20 and never got any confirmation email through! Emailed Village on contact us site, as card was charged x5 times totalling £100. Got a email from 3 of the hotels sending the booking confirmation through and 2 of the other hotels say they have my room booked but no payment recorded?! Anyone else had this issue? Have screenshotted them my bank account statement proving I was charged but if they don't pull their finger out I'll be filing a complaint .

Highly recommend Shirley, Solihull, stayed there on the 'Feelgood Friday' deal. Should point out it's worth registering for the free meal vouchers on the same site, ie 1 eats free when 2 dine (pay for one, 1 free) also free Sunday lunch voucher when 2 eat 1 is free. You pay nothing, just apply for the vouchers, use them if you book a deal, or if you just want to eat out cheaper at a Village restaurant.

It is not showing the availability calendar now :disappointed: It has been a very frustrating website to use , but if you can get a room for when you want it is a good deal ... I have just booked a different day to go on a day trip with the Virgin Trains First Class deal , so love racking up my cheap days out etc and I often have a better time than in the more expensive places tbh!

Hi which Saturday in Farnborough was this please? I have spent ages looking at loads of dates there, any day in any month and can't seem to get anything. If you live out of London (like Manchester) you can get cheap &connections advance train tickets which include tube through London and then train to Farnborough making it a good way to visit London.

It is SUCH a glitchy website!!! I nearly rang up to change my dates / hotel but have decided to stick with the one I've booked as can use my Oyster card so the rail fare will be dirt cheap too! :smiley: I could have got a Saturday at the Farnborough hotel but the train fare would be £45 in total , so not worth it for what will be a little bargain break

Saturday afternoon I had the same problems as BLR. I'm in the NE looking for a short break, Blackpool showed no £20 rooms. At 9.30pm the site changed for the better and suddenly Blackpool was available excluding Saturdays. It was a hassle getting that price through TCB but I eventually managed. So, Thu, Fri & Sun booked and I'll spend Sat night ?:confused:? Free 241 meal offer voucher expires 29 Feb. Sunday morning the site is glitchy again, I was lucky to have got booked - only with several hours perseverance.
Edit: Extremely glitchy site, my PC and Tablet even get different results for the same search.

Think this is a fantastic deal..I saw this when I was at work on HUKD..and that was yesterday..then it had most days, every weekend in January £20 per night £40 total..went on today and the site was glitching out even though am directly going into the black friday section on the site and clicking the deal..sometimes it coems back at £65 and crap prices..and when i go through TCB/Quidco/Ilovecashback i was getting higher prices..My work has encryped browsing on our company laptops, so I just used google chrome ignito to go on at work..and Ive figured if you actually search through google..village hotels..then the offers..then black friday..then search..it seems to give you the geuine £20 hotels price and availability..thanks to this little trick I didn't miss out fully..managed to bag jan 8th 1 night in Nottingham for £18.80 (£20 but 10.5% cashback with Ilovecashback) and then jan 22th 1 night in London Watford for the same price :smiley:..tempted to book a few more fortnights away as the missus would love me haha :P..she thinks I spend a big chunk of wonga haha when it cost me the same as a meal in tgi fridays lmao

I went on the website again and the date which wasn't available earlier was suddenly available again and it showed a calendar of the dates available again! But I had already booked another hotel in the chain for the date I wanted and it worked out BETTER for me in the end as I didn't realise it was only 14 mins away from London by train whereas my other 'first choices' which I nearly gave up after were 1 hour away and over half an hour away which may not sound like much but am bringing my Grandson with me who has special needs and doesn't travel well ( but always loves it when we GET to where we are going! ) so 14 mins will be a doddle for him , an hour he can just ABOUT manage on public transport but even then , not always , so it worked out for the best for me the other dates were saying unavailable at the time , there were no Saturdays available at any of the 3 'close to London' hotels when I tried this afternoon , but was glad to get a date during half term!! :smile:

Why are people moaning they can't get a room? Plenty when the sale opened yesterday vitually every Saturday was available then. Early bird catches the worm etc etc.

Blimey , the rooms / dates I wanted went QUICK , about 10 minutes ago it was showing good availability so I searched which hotel would be quicker by train , went back on to book and all dates in both hotels I was interested had gone in the last 10 minutes!

I would say don't dilly dally like me and book it if you find it , had no idea when it was letting me book either room that 10 minutes later they would be all gone!!

It was showing other dates available if the dates you wanted were booked but now it just goes straight to 'unavailable' and it doesn't show you which dates ARE available :disappointed:

Oh well , will keep my eye out for another promotion / hotel deal for February next year! It was disappointing though especially as I was so close to getting one reasonably 'easily' I thought

Looking at cardiff but like every other village offer, its a nightmare to find. In fact if i just spent that time working instead of hours going through there search, i would save more by pay full! Does my head in, and Im a member.
