Debenhams ran this last year for Black Friday and it seemed to be really popular especially as it should include ALL fragrances (including Chanel which is rare).
Due to go live around 6am but it could well be a bit earlier.

EDP has a higher amount of oil than a EDT so the smell should last longer hence the price

Strongly recommend Dior Sauvage for the men! Bought instore yestarday for cheaper than showing online! :sunglasses::stuck_out_tongue: Cheapest place I found it and I went to every fragrance store in Cardiff Centre yestarday!

just be careful, always worth checking prices at Boots & The Perfume Shop (amongst others) for example the 1 million mens 100ml is £40.62 at Debenhams with the discount but at Boots its on offer at £36.00

Actually if the 10% offer is not included than it makes Debenhams even more expensive, even on top brands such as channel, dior and Viktor & Rolf boots/feelunique work out cheaper
Sorry but COLD from me

that's actually incorrect.
the FeelUnique offer was for 200ml, whereas Boots were doing 100ml.

Just received an email from Debenhams to mention about this deal. First of all, the deal starts at 3am online on Friday or 8am in-store. Secondly, here is the small print about the 'VAT free' deal.
Full price only. This offer replaces the 10% off all fragrances during The Big Gift Event on 26.11.15 online only. Discount of 16.67% has been applied to the pre-promotional selling price, representing the VAT that would have been payable.
So in other words, Debenhams is offering 16.67% off on all fragrances, it doesn't sound very much to me, not sure I will now get up at 3am to start ordering, I think my beauty sleep is worth more… :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! I would suggest trying the Eau as well, pretty good. Intense would def stay longer because of more oil concentration.Think I might get the Eau for now

Dior Homme intense is one of my favourite fragrances out of the 40 or so I've had. It's really well suited to cold weather/winter and smells very strongly of iris, vanilla and sweet milk chocolate. I remember spraying a single spray once on my wrist and it was still faintly there after 13 hours so it's long lasting too.
Haven't tried Eau, but I own two bottles of Sauvage (The 2015 one, not the one from the 60's) and I don't like Sauvage at all. It's smells like a really synthetic chemical vanilla type smell and turns into spicy pepper. It lasts about 1 to 2 hours and disappears.

I see. I'm no expert but the intense seems more woody-wintery, probably more classy yes. To me, Eau for men seems more citrus fresh and for everyday wear. Also Intense is EDP vs EDT.

There are a few minor bargains but many of these fragrances can be found much cheaper else where - for example Paul Smith Extreme 100ml £32 at Debenhams or £15 at Boots - so it's worth shopping around.

Ah from the small print it seems it is not ALL fragrances, if they have already been discounted?

Dior Homme Intense vs Eau for Men vs the new Sauvage? Can't decide!

Dior Homme intense is the "classier" of the two. The new Sauvage has a rather unrefined 90's vibe (reminds me of YSL Jazz a little).

Worth doing Click and Collect for a free £5 Debenhams Voucher as detailed here:
It's not VAT free though is it? Retailers are legally obliged to pay VAT out of the purchase price, its just a 20% off an arbitrary 'recommended retail price' that hardly anyone ever pays...

The VAT portion of a VAT-inclusive price is one sixth of that price, i.e.16.67%.
So on a VAT-inclusive price of £100, the VAT is £16.67, not £17.70, so you'd pay £83.33 (£100 minus £16.67) after the reduction.

Is this 6am tmrw or Friday ?
steevio_uk
25 Nov 152#19
Yup.
Best way to calculate would be to do the selling price, divided by 1.2
So, you will not get £20 saving from £100, but more like £17.70
